Q: I have an old-style mixer; the model is K5A. Will this fit?

This grinder fits my old KitchenAid mixer perfectly and works well. I ground up elk meat and Rocky Mountain sheep with no problem.

Q: I have the plastic KitchenAid grinder, and meat easily clogs the blade and plate. Is that a problem with this grinder?

I did not find clogging to be a problem with this steel grinder, but it may depend on the meat you are grinding and the condition of your blades. The main advantage of this product, compared to the KitchenAid original, is that it is dishwasher safe.

Q: Will this grinder attachment work well with deer meat?

We bought it specifically for our caribou meat. It worked absolutely awesome! I'm grateful we chose the higher-end grinder for our KitchenAid unit.
