Very soft, but somewhat thin
I received a package of polyester batting for upholstery. When laid flat, this batting measured the full 10 yards long by 49 inches wide. I love the soft feel of this batting; however, it's much thinner than other upholstery batting I've used. The thickness is inconsistent and ranges from 1/4 inch thick to less than 1/8 inch in some spots. I'm concerned that the batting rips apart very easily. If I do use this, I'll do so only with double layers and only with items which will be used more for decoration - I don't think it can stand up to items which will receive heavy use.

Great for quilting
Nice for quilt making but not like what I'm used to. It will work good but may bunch up over time more. It's hard to tell. It does seem it will be a bit more warm than most others, so that's an added bonus. It's thicker than expected. I like it.
