Robust suitcase.
Worth it. This is a very solid suitcase and safe place to entrust your most precious wine. I’ve done several trips with this now and I couldn’t be happier.

Love Love Love it!
We couldn't be more pleased with this wine suitcase. I contemplated buying the Wine Check Elite because 1) it was cheaper and 2) you could fold it down and pack it in something else, but went out on a limb and bought the VinGarde. The only downside I could come up with is if you take wine with you somewhere and aren't bringing wine back (but instead bringing back a lot of other stuff) you don't have any options to pack much of anything else into it. I guess that means I need to bring wine back!Lastly, we didn't use the straps to secure the bag because we didn't feel like the case needed it, but also because I was afraid they might get caught on something during baggage handling. They are a tad cumbersome to put on, but definitely secure and sturdy.I would definitely recommend this piece of luggage. It's exactly what the company says it is and does.

Great protection for the wine
I have not used it yet but the appearance, padding, structure all appear to be amazing. I look forward to packing my wine when I am able to fly again. Also like the option to pack half with wine and half with clothes should I need (although prob will always do all wine)

Perfect wine transport
Worked as advertised, not a scratch from the airline. I’m glad I chose the 8 bottle model since it was easy for me to lift when full. Great bag!

Great Wine Bottle Suitcase with Poor Bust Strap Design
With a trip to Napa Valley, we knew we’d be leaving with quite a few bottles of wine. I was pleasantly surprised to see Fly With Wine makes a suitcase specifically designed to safely transport wine.In comparing their options, we chose the 8 bottle model instead of the 12 as it looked more versatile in terms of fitting different bottles sizes like Pinot Noir, sparkling, etc. Additionally, when you look at the average wine bottle weight, this model will always come in under the weight limits imposed by the airlines. The suitcase itself is extremely sharp and appealing.I like that it still looks like a suitcase rather than some other options on the market that are more designed to look like cargo transport containers. The inside of the suitcase includes two molded compartments on both sides to hold your wine bottles. The fit is tight (a good thing) and we were able to test some sparking wine bottles to verify our theory on the 8 bottle model. All bottle shapes worked well with this model, as long as it was mixed with smaller bottles on each side. Each side is removable, so you could pack clothes alongside the wine side if you only needed to transport 4 bottles. There are three foam pads, one for each side and then one for the middle of the suitcase after you zip each compartment. The dividing zippered compartments have nice storage pockets which we found ourselves storing a wine key, tasting notes, etc. the bag is easy to move with a telescoping handle and four roller wheels. If you wanted to use this as a standard suitcase when not transporting wine, please note this will need to be checked as it is too large for carry on.The suitcase worked like a gem and all bottles made it through two flights and transfers safely at the destination. Structurally the bag is still in pristine condition, however, the bust strap design could be better. There are two bust straps that attach to the bag by a plastic retaining clip. It is designed to place the straps on the bag and then install the clip with screws. To me, it feels like a fail point in design as airlines are not gentle with luggage. They give a third strap to go in between the side handles of the suitcase which can protrude and the two bust straps. Just too much going on to ensure the handles stay as flat to the suitcase as possible.Sure enough, upon arrival back home, one of the bust straps failed at the buckle as it is thin plastic. I included a picture to show what was damaged. I luckily used an additional luggage strap to ensure the side handles were flat in transport. I don’t believe the side handles are required for this model size, but I suppose they are useful for some.I am still extremely happy with this purchase as the suitcase itself is robust and I know I can find an upgraded strap (1.5in) for the bust straps. Overall, I would suggest this for anyone who is looking for a way to transport wine without using shipping methods. The bag looks great and gives you the assurance that your wine will make it home in one piece.
