They slide up and down the line like a normal egg sinker
When I ordered these, I thought the rubber inserts would grip the line to keep the sinker in one place. They do not, the sinker slides up and down the line like a normal egg sinker. The rubber inserts do keep the metal from wearing the line which is a big improvement to normal egg sinkers though.After trying them out I went back and re-read the description, and it doesn't say how it works one way or the other.
