This mullien extract works well for thinning mucus in the lungs so that it is easily removed by coughing..thing is this plant grows wild all over the u.s.a...a quick google search will help you see what it looks like. It is a very obtuse and kinda ugly looking plant too so its easy to find. They stand about 3 or 4 or 5 feet tall and are in most backyard in north america. Nothing has to be done to it to prepare either besides drying it and smashing it into a powder and you can buy empty capsules at health food shoppes or right here on amazon as well as little tools that help you fill the capsules. A straw can also be used by cutting it lengthwise..it creates a sort of scoop that will fit into the empty capsules allowing you to fill them with ease. I gope this helps someone save $14.99...the next time yr lungs are full of mucus and you cant seem to clear it no matter how hard you cough ingest some mullien leaf. It can be made into a tea...put into boiling water with a towel over your head to inhale the vapors or swallow the leave matter in a capsule or even smoked. As far as smoking it goes im not too sure thats worth it considering it has a type of tar as well jist like anything that is smoked. The same effects can be achieved by swallowing it. I took 2 of these capsules and within 2 hours my coughing was very much more productive. Glad i tried because the expectorants that the pharmacutical companies have very serious and dangerous side effects. I dont know if ive ever seen a "mullein" tree, or its leaves, in my life; what i do know is that these pills seem to be effective for exactly what they're supposed to do, help you breath better...from the 1st times i took them (expecting not-much) , and very soon was breathing more clearly,i purchased these on the WILD chance they might do something; well, im impressed. dont know how it works, but it does.
