Humanroots yam cream is super lush and only the necessities! Happy to find a limited ingredient yam cream! I’m super picky because of my lovely rosacea/acne/perimenopausal skin. The popular brands all contain stuff that’s bad for my skin!!! I’m actually shocked other brands have borax, alcohols, seed oils - none of which I want my body to absorb! I also can’t do almond oil due to a nut allergy. Welcome to my life!On to the specifics - fast shipping - it arrived within one day, bubble wrapped envelope - there’s a very subtle scent of honey & oat which may be from the chamomile and it quickly disappears within a few minutes after application. It spreads easily and seemed oily at first but then my skin soaked it up and was left soft and without residue!I will update my review after a few weeks to see if the yam is alleviating my hot flashes!If there was an option without yam, I would be lathering up my hands & feet this winter - it is so healing on my dry skin!

Great results so far ! I have been using this cream for five days now, already feeling positive results, much better mood, less agitated, haven’t had any hot flashes, overall improved well-being. The texture is soft and creamy , blends into my skin very nicely. And not a greasy feeling. Very faint smell, if any at all, which is very nice.. overall great, product highly recommend!

For a little background I got my copper IUD replaced after mid august 2024, and afterwards I started having hemorrhaging periods that lasted 15 days. This cream is organic which is good, and it smells nice, but it made my boobs so SORE it was torture!! I always get some pain there before my cycle starts, but NEVER like this and it all started when I used the cream. I kept using it as directed (rotating neck, wrists, thighs, abdomen twice a day) and the pain got worse!! It was so bad I couldn’t wear a bra and it woke me up at night 3 times!! I had to lay on my back!! I’m going through perimenopause but NEVER had pain like this for days on end. I stopped using it and the pain went away. I looked everywhere online for this side effect from yam cream or yam pills and it was nowhere to be found. But it can’t be a coincidence because the pain is almost gone. I also had trouble falling asleep which is not an issue for me. Since not using it that symptom went away too. I know this isn’t “real HRT” but something isn’t adding up. I use other natural HRT alternative supplements and NEVER have a problem. Maybe because this was going directly on my skin I don’t know, I have no idea. I bought another cream (no wild yam) and it didn’t have that effect. Banyan Botanicals breast care balm. No side effects.
