Great Read!
Love the characters and story line in this book. Didn’t see the twists and turns which makes for an interesting and suspenseful story. Great job Heather and Jilleen! Looking forward to the next book!

Good
This novella introduces our heroine Bunny, as she starts her new (un)life as a vampire. It’s not the easiest of beginnings, since Bunny wasn’t exactly a willing turn; but there is definitely something weird going on!We also get to meet Bunny’s dog, Fluffy, as he and Bunny first meet, and we find out how Bunny gets her new job. This is a very quick read, and a fun introduction to this intriguing new world. I’m looking forward to reading about Bunny’s new life in Alaska, especially since I too am a Brit in the USA (though we don’t get 67 days of night where I live!).Since this is a novella and introduction, we actually have some unanswered questions by the end of the book, as well as not really having met many of the Portlock characters yet- something else to look forward to.This is an entertaining read, and an interest piquing glimpse of the series yet to come, I’ll definitely be looking forward to reading it once it’s released.

Nice start
What a fun prequel. I love Bunny and Fluffy and finding out her back story. There is plenty of humor and action in this first book and I look forward to more in the series and meeting the new characters in Portlock.

Good
It's a great prequel, and I read it second so it answered some questions but I still have some so hopefully the next book will answer them. I like the thoughtful way it's written. I definitely relate to Bunny and love Fluffy already.

Good prequel
I would give 3.5 stars if I could. This was a very good intro to the series main character and her new life. There is the mystery of why the vampire king wants Bunny so badly to solve along side Bunny’s cases in her new locale.

Interesting?
Not a Vampire fanAnd this isn't my first time running across this bookJust my first time caving into reading it!A Vampire with a dog?And a Vampire with a habit? A human addiction? Two strikes!Yet the Brit twist is interestingHer attitude is also differentSo! 2nd book? We will give it a try too

))) time
Unfortunately, despite an interesting idea, a book about a vampire and his horrible death was rather predictable. The plot didn't include anything new, and the ending, while intended to be shocking, didn't surprise. The appearance of popular clichés of the vampire genre was a bit disappointing. While the writing style is enjoyable, I feel that the author should have experimented more with the plot to fully immerse himself in the world of vampires

It is a good start
I enjoyed this first book. It was interesting and went too fast to the end. I need to find the next book

Can't wait to see what happens next!
Bunny the vampire, and Fluffy her German Shepard companion. Has a nice ring to it.Bunny is a new vampire. A new, accidental vampire. A new, broke, accidentally turned vampire, with a new abandoned dog. A German Shepard she named Fluffy. When Bunny wakes up from a night on the town covered in blood - she knows what happened. After all, her dad's business partner is the King Vampire of Europe. But that doesn't mean she is going to join his group. Or forgive the fact that she was turned without her consent. With the long years looming ahead of her, and a strong desire to be free - Bunny does what any responsible person does. Applies for a job on the other side of the world.I can't wait to find out what happens next.

Excellent Book
It was great reading the prequel book first so that you understand how the story starts. Really looking forward to reading more about the adventures of Bunny and Fluffy

Bunny by name…
This is a good start to a series. The main character seems warm, fun, resourceful & scrappy when necessary. The circumstances of her turning suggest there’s a lot more behind the scenes than evident in this intro book. And while I keep expecting Fluffy to turn into a werewolf, a smart, friendly dog is a great sidekick & there’s obviously more to him than meets the eye, even if he isn’t a werewolf. Especially after their awkward bathroom break lol. This was a good taster & I’m looking forward to reading more.

Delightful beginning
The first few chapters begin a bit slowly in terms of the main character being (understandably, perhaps) stuck in reaction. But she starts taking steps towards controlling her own life and showing potential for being a character whose adventures it will be fun to follow. And there’s also a delightful dog.Looking forward to the next instalment, wishing it wasn’t such a wait.
