Q: One review claims uv coating is.wiped off during cleaning. Is the.UV protection embedded in the lens or is it a coating that can be wiped off?

Hi Pablo, The UV coating is indeed embedded in the lens material itself. We have contacted the customer who wrote the review multiple times to try to find out more about the issue but have never received a response, so we are still not sure why he meant by "the UV coating comes of very easy just by cleaning the lenses". What we suspect is that if there are oilly substance on the lens the swirls/wipe marks left behind when cleaning the cleaning lens may be seen as something coming off. Another possibility is if an abrasive agent is used to cleaning the lens, the anti-scratch coating may be damaged which may also be seen as something coming off. However, both are really rare cases and have not been reported by other customers.We will update this answer if we do get to find out what the customer's issue is. Q: Does it have a metal frame?

Yes they have a metal frame with plastic ear pieces, only had them for a week myself but the frames seem to be fairly sturdy for the price you pay.
