It's great, but the paint on the bottom of the kettle will burn off and give a nasty chemical smell.

I had another for 5vyrs. Then a sleepy me turned on the burner without adding water. Oooooops. Ruined the old girl. If you are a pour over coffee fan, these scome in competitive colors, they last, they are perfect for pour overs- the gooseneck spout is key! If you skim on a cheaper pot, it just won't last & Mayor contribute to metal poisoning... just be aware.

**Update** Seller provided a full refund for the defective item. ——— Was great for a two months until the handle popped off and ruined the thermometer. Now it's useless because you can't open it while its hot and I can't measure temperature. If the seller offers a replacement I will revise my review.
