it's a different product, the firmware is not matched
Can this be plugged into a TV's USB port? My Wiimotes are already connected via bluetooth to my PC.
When i click the update firmware button, the following message pops up: "it's a different product, the firmware is not matched, cant update it!". why?
Does this also function as a bluetooth sensor for other devices besides the Wii controller?

Works out of the box.

Don't bother with cheaper Dolphin Bars. This is the one. I tried one of the 10 dollar Chinese ones and it didn't do anything. The Mayflash worked right out of the box. Plug into a USB port. Press the mode button till numbe 4 lights up. Grab your Wii remote, hit the sync button on the bar, and the remote. Boom, play your games. It took me longer to hunt up working AA batteries, than it took to get this Dolphin Bar working.

Perfect for Dolphin Emulator.

This works as it should for the Dolphin Emulator. You just plug it in, switch it to the 4th mode and click sync on your WiiMote and the sensor bar and they connect instantly. It also remembers your WiiMote which is something I didn’t expect.

Better than the generic ones for emulation.

Works with Teknoparrot!

Used for Nvidia Shield TV Pro

Not many android TV boxes or sticks if any can run Dolphin emulator. But the Nvidia Shield Pro can. I'm not much if a gamer. I don't know hardly anything about emulation. All I did know is that I didn't want to run it on a computer. I wanted it on a TV, on a console. Where it's more of a genuine game console experience. So in 2025, I bought a brand new Shield from Best Buy in the store. Problem was that no matter what I tried to do, some Wii games can't be properly played unless you can use the Wii remote. I actually have an actual Wii, remotes and so on from way back when. So I did try different ways to maybe use the bar & original remotes. Tried Bluetooth adapters. Very unsuccessful. Once I got it going, it's like using an actual Wii again. It's wonderful. What I will say is that while it's technically easy to set up. All the instructions I saw and videos on it are for a PC. And the Android app looks nothing like a PC. Simple stuff like, I plugged it into the Shield, connected the Wii remote by hitting the pairing button. Super easy. But for the life of me I couldn't get it to work in Dolphin. I selected the setting that said Wii remote with dolphin bar. I did everything I was supposed to do. But apparently, I was supposed to plug it in & set it up before I opened dolphin app. Real simple. But how was I to know? Once I force stopped, cleared cache and reopened, the Wii remote vibrated to let me know it was ready. The remote is only going to work in the actual game. That is to say, you'll need your regular remote to go through settings in Dolphin. And pick games and what have you. Overall it's been perfect. Though I have had to force stop and reopen the app a few times when the remote wasn't working. But I'm not sure if that's a Dolphin bar problem. Or if it's a rom issue. Because one of the games doesn't ever seem to acknowledge the Wii remote. So I just decided to not play that one. This thing looks heavy duty though. I am very impressed with that. Only thing about it's build is the switch in the back doesn't day on/off. But if you can't figure out what the switch does, than maybe don't bother lol.

Perfect with Wii motion plus

Little finicky getting it to work at first but working good now. I'm using it through a dock with Retroid pocket 5.

IF YOU PLAY WII AND GAMECUBE GAMES WITH THE DOLPHIN EMULATOR THEN YOU NEED THIS!!

I just bought one of these and I found that it is exactly what is needed when you use Dolphin emulator to play your Wii or Gamecube games on the PC. It makes using the Wii remote easy which is a big change from before when you spent hours getting the Wii remote to detect with Bluetooth. And once the Wii remote is detected it stays detected, even when you turn off your PC and then start it up again, Dolphin will see your Wii remote immediately, no need to go through reconnecting it.The Wireless Sensor DolphinBar had some earlier compatibility problems when Dolphin released dolphin 3.5 but they are fixed now so if you are still having any troubles then just go to their site and get the latest drivers and make sure you are using the latest Dolphin Emulator version. In fact, As of 4.0-2241 and that DolphinBar firmware update, all of the DolphinBar's compatibility issues have been resolved! You can get the latest updated drivers from Mayflashs sitehttp://www.mayflash.com/products/nintendowiigc/w010.htmlAnd you can get the latest Dolphin Emulator version for Windows, MAC and Linux here:https://dolphin-emu.org/download/I found that this sensor bar is much more sensitive to my Wiimote than the Nintendo sensor bar and that is a plus for sure. Also this Sensor bar acts as a Bluetooth detector!!! So you don't need a bluetooth adapter to use it. In fact, I think it works better than the Azio I was using. It detects and properly recognizes the Wiimote within seconds and you will see it correctly identified and working in Windows which, I am sure you already know, is a problem if you are not using this Dolphinbar. This Dolphinbar has a small blue LED light that glows steadily when the Wiimote is connected and it will blink if the Wiimote gets disconnected for any reason. Here is some information from the Mayflash site:W010 Upgrade Firmware Ver04 Updates on February 10, 20151. The SYNC LED (LED 0) will be off if NO Connecting with the Wiimotes. The SYNC LED (LED 0) will stay lit if connecting with the Wiimotes.2. The DolphinBar will not enter into the sleep mode while in the Mode 4 (Dolphin Mode) with Windows 8.1 (Some customers feedback this problem before)Description:Wireless Sensor DolphinBar can connect your Wii Remote Plus Controller to your PC by Bluetooth. Works better than I’d hoped.

Works better than I’d hoped. I wanted a way to connect my Wii remotes to my Mac and have been having so much trouble with everything I’ve tried and this worked almost. immediately. Once I got the settings on the bar correct that is. Played my old Wii game with no issues.

Works On Mac, IR Lights Died

This works with my MacBook Pro with an M4 Pro chip running Sequoia. This has so far been the only thing that has allowed me to successfully connect and use Wiimotes on my Mac. Plus it was pretty easy to do.The build quality does leave a lot to be desired though. After less than a month one side the of IR lights has already failed. Thankfully it’s easy to get a cheap new sensor and just use this to connect Wiimotes, but it is really disappointing that this has failed to hold up.This loses stars based on quality and durability, but I do have to give it a little credit since it’s the only thing that has worked.
