In the spirit of full transparency, I received this “Essager 66W PD/PPS/QC3.0 Fast Charging Car Charger, Dual USB-C & USB-A Quick Charge Universal Car Cigarette Lighter Plug, Aluminum Car Power Adapter for iPhone 15/14/13/12Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy” as part of the Amazon Vine Program.My 2022 Porsche Cayman GTS 4.0 has some electronics idiosyncrasies that led me to find a way to charge my iPhone 14Pro that didn’t fit Porsche’s somewhat confusing schematic of ports and their limited functionality. Although there were ways I could have charged my phone with the current configuration of electronics that I am currently using, they were not as convenient as I would have liked. So, the best option seemed to be a cigarette lighter-type plug-in that allowed for USB-A and USB-C cables that would fit my phone for charging purposes. This highly rated adapter looked like a good alternative, and I ordered it.Once the charger was delivered, I went immediately to my car and plugged it into the “always-on” power receptacle. I then quickly plugged a USB-A cable into it and my phone. Voila! The blue lights on the charger indicated that it was powered-on, and my phone showed that it was in charging mode. Although no instructions were included with the charger, hook-up is really as straight forward as plugging an electrical appliance cord into a wall socket.Specifications are shown on the back of the box in print so small I needed a magnifying glass to see them. However, the web page on Amazon clearly displays and explains everything you need to know about its capability. Of particular note is the overcharging protection feature. Although it does not have an “off/on” switch, a slight pull of the charger from the socket will disengage it from primary battery power. And, unless your car sits for weeks at a time, the led lights in the charger take less power than the onboard computer systems with which most modern cars are equipped. Due to the power drain of all the electronics in my car and the fact that it is not my daily driver, I keep it hooked up to a battery maintainer during periods of extended non-use.Other plug-in charger adapters may be less costly, but the aluminum construction, wattage output, compact design, overcharging protection, and port options/arrangement make it an exceptional value, in my opinion.At the bottom, I rate this charger as a solid five-star winner.

Most of the cars I drive have USB chargers already in them, but I prefer the faster-charging alternative of the good old cigarette lighter charger, which is usually a lot more convenient in addition to being a faster charge option. The nice thing about this is that you can charge up to three devices at once, and the older I get, the more necessary it is that I keep several devices constantly charged, like my portable air pump and portable battery, along with my cell phone, of course. The charger looks solid and mostly metal, and charges reasonably fast unless you have 3 devices all at once.

Pretty good charger. It does not handle voltages very well on its own, so if your device is "dumb" it may not charge it. For what it does charge, it does a pretty good job. Not sure if the wattage is accurate, it doesn't seem to charge any faster than a standard 15W adapter. Generally pretty good, but nothing special.

The Essanger 66W Cigarette Lighter Car Charger with Dual USB-C and USB-A ports has been a real asset on my trips. It's powerful enough to charge my 13" MacBook Pro, my phone, and other devices without any issues. The charger itself is well-built, compact, and fits perfectly into the car’s outlet without taking up much space. While it does heat up a bit during use, that’s pretty typical for a charger with this kind of power output. Overall, it’s a reliable and convenient solution for keeping all my devices powered up on the go.

I've been searching for the perfect car charger. Other brands I've tried have been able to provide super fast charging initially, but later on when I check my phone they have inevitably dropped down to slower charging at some point. I don't know if that is a voltage level or regulation issue or what, but they've been good but not as promised. Enter this charger. On a recent trip I was able to charge a couple devices and get super fast charging the entire time without any slow down. I'm completely satisfied! Now, I have not tried to charge multiple devices, though if the charger can handle 66W it should at least be able to do a decent job with two.The USB-A port charged my phone with fast charging and both of the USB-C ports worked for super fast. Finally, the charger I'd been searching for.

Ordered to replace a broken charger. Wanted a small, lower-profile unit and this one looked like it would fit the bill. Installation is as easy as any other 12V port adapter; just plug it in. So far, I’ve only used the USB-A port, and, while it works, it does not charge as quickly as expected. Perhaps the USB-C ports charge faster. Overall build quality seems high with a metal body and sold-feeling components. The LED illumination is helpful and avoids being too bright or garish. Price is fair. Recommended.

This works as a car charger but not at the speeds specified. I could not get the power out of it that was specified, it did charge my phone but not as a fast charger. I did attempt to use multiple cords and 2 different charging ports. It does work just not as expected, kind of a let down for me.
