Good product
Purchased for installation of French drain in one corner of garden. Works well despite 2 episodes of very heavy rain. Material is tough and does not tear, but is compliant.

Good quality drainage membrane and very easy to put down and use
Heavier material that was expecting but had no problems using the product. And it work wonders for he to take away some of the rain water from the carport with a french drain.Pleased with my order.

Useful
Bought this for two projects: To create a French land drain across a soggy lawn and to create a heated bed in the greenhouse. Been perfect for both projects and is quite robust too.

Soakaway liner
I needed a soakaway liner - apparently a "non-woven" membrane is what is required, so water can pass through instead of being retained.I ordered Spudlica GeoTextile Membrane 100gsm, and tested it before installing by cutting a small piece to fit into a sieve, then pouring water in: it's very free draining! The membrane is quite easy to work with - very light, easily cut with scissors. I was careful working with it because I think it could be quite easy to tear or puncture against sharp objects. The only drawback I found to using it was that the recommended EcoGrid Geotextile Membrane Joining Joint Tape wasn't particularly good: it really wasn't very sticky, and a few hours after taping two sheets of membrane together they had largely come apart again. So I guess that there's not much chance of this tape holding the membrane together now it's buried in the ground... which might mean there's a route in for roots. I'd be tempted to use duct tape if doing it again (though this might be absolutely the wrong thing to do?).

Drains easily, tough fabric
Used 20m of this to line a french drain running down my garden. It's a robust fabric that lets the water through very easily so I think it does a really good job. It's brilliant white so feels a bit weird putting it in the mud!
