Absolutely amazing breville, I could not wait to use it, I did a cheese toasty and the results were great and only took a few minutes. The breville heats up very quickly. Very easy to clean just wiped with a sponge.

Great item. Heats up really quickly. Easy to clean. Easy to use. Waffles don’t stick to the mould. All round quick and easy waffles in 7 minutes.

Initially I was disappointed as I thought the lid fastened down but it doesn't so I almost returned it straight away but then I decided to give it a go. It's easy to clean although there are no removable plates. It cooks things quite quickly and we'll. So far I've cooked bacon, egg, sausage, toast and toasted sandwiches all with good results. I've learned not to overfill the sandwich as they don't deal and the filling drops out and it cooks the inside food of the sandwich even though it's not sealed, melts the cheese, heats the tomato, warms the ham so as I'm trying more foods in it I'm getting to like it now. A good size, will fit 2 sandwiches and a great quality machine, wipe it over when you're finished and it looks like new again.

After a few weeks of using this, I would like to comment on how fantastic it is. I bought onebut returned as I thought it was too small. I also thought a ridged grill would be better. Wrong on both counts. I tried three other brands/models. They were mostly plastic (one arrived broken). The grooved one was difficult to clean. So I reordered this Breville one. I've used it twice a day since. At breakfast I cook an egg, sunny side up (I put a silicone ring on alongside the egg so that lowering the top doesn't touch the egg. After a minute, I switch off and leave while I make toast. Perfect egg every time. Lunch is usually a toastie of cheese, chilli jam and some slices of spring onions. Delicious. Sunday mornings, I put 2 slices of bacon onto a sheet of greaseproof paper and fold the edges over to form an envelope. This keeps the fat off the grill ( not that it's a problem to clean, I just prefer to do it this way. The bacon cooks flat and crispy. Again, perfect and delicious.Then there's the cleaning aspect; it's so beautifully easy to wipe the smooth surface down.Finally, the grill is solidly made from mostly metal/ stainless steel.Best buy for a long time; I've hardly used other cooking methods.Oh yes, I'm using much less electricity. I live alone and resent using a family sized oven and grill. Ideal for up to 2 peopleTen stars ✳️

I would class this Breville as one of my best buys.I didn't want to spend a lot on a sandwich toaster because I was unsure whether it would get used very often so I searched Amazon Resale (formerly called Amazon Warehouse) and found the Breville Sandwich/Panini Press & Toastie Maker advertised as in new condition and with a decent price drop.The fact I could do several different types of toasted sandwich appealed to me, another big plus was it did not cut the sandwich into triangles with the proverbial inedible hard toasted edges.It arrived and was in indeed in as new condition and was put into service later the same day to make a simple cheese toastie, which was a great success, no tooth breaking hard crusts just a very nice edible cheese sarnie, since it's inaugural outing it has also produced numerous and varied filling Panini's with great success.I did read somewhere the suggestion that it was great for also cooking bacon rashers, well, of course that theory had to be tested @ next use.In all honesty I was not overly impressed, although I will say it is quite capable of cooking bacon, however it does not generate enough heat to produce a nice crispy rasher, resulting in a rather anaemic looking piece of bacon which required the employment of the grill to finish the job.So in conclusion I would say, unless you like anaemic bacon that is, don't bother trying to cook anything except Toasties & Panini's which will not disappoint.It is also very very easy to clean, just let it cool down and wipe any spills with kitchen roll then wash the plates with a cloth & some washing up liquid, rinse and wipe off any soap, dry with paper towel & store.Once it has been washed I place a paper towel between the plates to absorb any residual damp & protect the plate surfaces, there is a sliding lock on the handle & a bit on the underside to wrap the cord around.It is almost 1 year since I purchased this item and I have no regrets, it is a good quality item.

Easy to use and clean works well and makes enjoyable sandwiches. I've also cooked sausages and bacon on it. Takes a little longer but does the job. It would also cook eggs handy for omelettes. It's not very big so would be ideal for students index or anybody with limited space..

What a great buy! Easy to remove plates for cleaning and a choice of plates for different toasties. I do love my cheese toasties so the plates do get in a bit of a mess - but as they are dishwasher friendly - no worries! Plates for steak / meat and plates for waffles come with it. Heats up quickly, low cost to run, and despite my overloading with cheese, the deep plates mean very little dribbling. Make a meal with the one tool, so easy. Great value for money too.

Although the plates on this are easy to clean as they can be removed, the machine itself is not so easy to clean and I've used this a number of times already with alot of mess made.The instructions around ensuring space all around the edge of the sandwich has made no odds when it comes to the leakage I've experienced on every use.This isn't my 1st toastie maker and I know they all have the leaking issue to some degree but it's really frustrating having to spend much time cleaning every nook and cranny after every use, the alternative would be to have a pretty dry and empty toastie which would be rubbish.Bear this in mind when you buy as at £34 this wasn't the cheapest option. On a positive it does seem to cook both sides evenly!
