I had a hard time getting the clip to close over the collar ring. I got the larger clip!! Beware, I thought I had clip on the collar ring. It did not close and fell off minutes later. I finally found a part of the collar to force the clip on. Otherwise it seems durable.

We bought these to keep our dogs ID tags on and they didn’t last very long. Every day they would fall off just from the dogs scratching at their collars until the 5month old puppy just broke it off. I think it would be great for anything other than the ID tags especially if your dog likes to scratch at their collar.

I avoided buying these for weeks when I bought my pup a new ID tag to go on top of his harness. (had used a key ring for decades with other dogs - this seemed unnecessary. ) But the key ring holder I was using made the tag stick up on the top of his harness awkwardly, and it wouldn't clamp securely- just a matter of time before it fell off. When I realized there are 2 clips in a package - the price made more sense. So glad I ordered- tag is much more secure. Easily switches to a different collar if needed. You won't regret ordering.

We use 3 different collars for our dog depending upon what we are doing. We have a Labrador Retriever who needs a large collar (18 - 26 in). We wanted a clip that would not let the tags dangle enough to get caught on anything during walks or on the dog's toenails when he scratches. We also noticed comments from people who said these clips we're too small to go onto a large D ring on a larger collar.When the clips arrived, they were large enough to go onto the small ring on one collar that is devoted to just tags, but they didn't fit onto the D ring on the swimming collar that has just one ring for both the tags and the leash.We solved the problem by using 2 small key rings fastened permanently onto the D ring, and we snap the clips onto those. Works beautifully, and the tags still do not dangle too low as they would with a larger clip.UPDATE as of 4/11/19We have had these clips for just 2 months. Our one concern was that they might open and come off the collar, and now one of them has. We love the fact that they make it easy for us to change the tags from one collar to another, but perhaps they shouldn't be this easy! That said, the plus is that obviously the dog got the tag he lost caught on something, and if the clip hadn't released, he could have been hurt. The minus is that the clip did open, and now the tag has been lost. I suppose better losing a tag that can be replaced than having the dog hurt.

Unfortunately the clip is too small to attach to any of the rings on my large dogs harness or collar. Fits on my medium/small dogs harness and just is able to attach to his collar d ring. Easy to attach tags

Super durable and the only dog tags I’ve found that haven’t been broken/worn down/yanked off by my wild pit bulls. I bought these and an $18 clip that I assumed would outlast these, and much to my surprise these clips have outlived it by far. Decent price and worth it if you’re tired of replacing lost name tags.

Both of these broke within a month. I don’t know if I was sent faulty ones, or If this is the actual quality.

Using for dog tags to attach to collars and harnesses. It's so easy to attach and unattach. Big enough but not too big to get in the way. Will buy again!
