I have suffered with the miserable itch of eczema for years now. I have been applying this liberally to my skin multiple times daily, specifically in problem areas. I just got this on Tuesday, today is Friday, barely 4 days of use. One area of skin on my abdomen was discolored & hardened from years of scratching. The discoloration is now gone, skin is soft again & the area is almost completely healed. I still have problem itch areas, but it is not as controlling as it usually is. When it itches, I gently rub on more shea butter. I am really hoping that with continued use I can at least get the problem patches healed & under control. It has no real scent, kind of smells like plastic. Not a great smell, but not bad either. It is smooth & easily applied. It’s solid, but melts with friction/heat. Living in Texas & having ordered during summertime, mine was delivered as a liquid, but it was wrapped in airtight plastic & the container did not leak. My skin is so pretty & smooth now, so glad I found this. If you have eczema or even just dry, itchy skin - you need this stuff!

I personally prefer refined when making soap and bath products, but I get this product if I run out since soap suppliers take a while to ship, or if I want unrefined for a specific batch. It's good quality, and the price is decent. The small tubs are easy to work with. If you haven't used natural butters before, be forewarned, they have a pretty intense smell. It's not bad, per say, but it is distinct, and personally reminds me a bit of play doh or something. Theg also tend to have "detritus" in them, usually little specks and plant material. Once it's melted, it's easy enough for me to strain the bigger impurities out. I'm pretty sure I had a small spider in one batch, but that's the nature of unrefined butter, so if that's something that squicks you out, buy refined instead. The color is more grey/beige than white, but again, that's the nature of unrefined products. For my purposes, it works perfectly, especially since the lye in soap tends to kill everything. I probably wouldn't use unrefined for lip balm or leave on products like body butter, unless I was really leaning into the "all natural" aspect. Update: 10/2023 My most recent batch had a good deal more "stuff" in it, little black specs, pieces of branches, etc.

Moisturizing very thick. The uses are endless. A stable item in your beauty treatment. You can use this from head to toe literally. I have used this on my hair, face, skin and body. And it has made me very moisturized and I deal with dry skin sometimes. I also have sensitive skin and I have had no side effects from this. It comes in handy for me after shaving my legs this keeps them very moisturized to prevent any bumps or in-grown hairs.

The best! Yuka give 100/100! Pure shea butter. Supper thick and takes a bit to rub it on. But we all love it.

I have read some of the reviews for this product. People need to be aware they are buying an unrefined raw product. The closer to unrefined and raw, the more benefits Shea butter will give. Here is what I do to use this. I take a large pot and put hot water in it. I take a metal bowl and put the Shea butter in that. I let it sit a couple of minutes. It should start to melt. When it starts to melt it is warm enough. Heat can lessen the benefits of Shea butter so I don't let it melt, just soften a little. I then use an electric egg beaters and slowly start to whip the Shea butter. I'll add in a nice essential oil like Mango or Lavender. Shea butter has a smell to it and a little scent works well. I just continue whipping until it looks like frosting. When you try this with a nice scent it is great! I use this as an utility Shea butter. In other words this is what I slather on at night a few times a week. I do have a more expensive Shea butter I use as lip balm and under my makeup. I might put a little of that on my legs before going out. This Shea butter is what I use for real healing and softening. Shea butter lightens scars, it is truly amazing stuff! I put this on at night before sleeping. There is nothing better for your skin than Shea butter!

The product itself is good and this is the 3rd time I’m buying. I’m putting 3 stars because this time around the product came in broken.

He usado shea Butter pura y sin refinar por al menos 10 años y está es la primera vez que compro esta marca, no volverá a suceder. Siempre la mezclo con algún aceite de calidad (extra virgen) para que quede un poco más blandita y usarla sin tener que esperar que se ablande o ponerla en baño María... Y la de otras marcas se integra bien y queda igual que la manteca de Karite, sólida y color marfil, bien integrada... Y con esta el aceite se separa y la manteca queda grumosa, no se integran, al ser dos grasas no debiera haber problema. Aunque la etiqueta dice que es pura, los hechos muestran que no! Definitivamente NO volveré a comprar esta marca. Volveré a life-flo, que es más cara, pero la diferencia es mucha!
