Love my cup, replaced it today and nearly cried with delight
I had to stop using my cup on doctors advice when I had a coil put in a year ago. Due to non-stop bleeding I’ve had to have it taken out and can now go back to using it. I have tolerated tampons and pads but really dislike them so finding this as a solution is amazing.Personally, I have found it very easy to use, inserting and removing it is perfectly fine but I have no problems learning and knowing my body and it can’t go anywhere so as long as you’re not stressing yourself out and you can hook a finger around the rim to break the seal your okay to go. I’d suggest though that if you have a high cervix to try different brands as some have valves or thinner silicone so that releasing the seal is easier. I only suggest that because unless you have longer fingers you may have to reach a little further and it can be uncomfortable for some.Benefits of using a cup with a lighter or medium flow is that if you can manage 8-12 hours without emptying it, just emptying it in the shower at bedtime and in the morning means no additional messyness. You can freshen up at the same time and because you’re reinserting it straight away towel drying after your shower means you don’t have to either swap to dark towels or have wash them every day for smears.I have used cups for years previously. No dryness or tugging or mess and my periods reduce by between 2 to 3 days due to the negative pressure. I have nearly no pain whatsoever and my first few days achy pressure is pretty much non existent when I use the cup. Again, I think my body just likes the negative pressure and responds positively. £30 for one cup that has previously lasted me 6 years before I stopped using it is pretty good going so I’ve bought the same one again now. Next is to stop using disposable liners on these days and swap to period pants. I will be scouring the internet for some good bargains.Bottom line is I feel so much better with my cup in now, I can’t feel it AT ALL and I feel so much more in control of my monthly’s.

Good product, love it.
Before you start reading this review, be warned it contains some tmi.I got this because my periods are irregular and I wanted something I could throw in my bag and have with me at all times that wouldn't end up full of crumbs like towels do.I was a bit weary about using it as I have never been able to wear tampons without a lot of pain.Of course onceI got this I had to wait almost three months to give it a try, but it was worth the wait.It took maybe two of three attempts to get it in and right. I find turning it while holding the bottom of the cup easier than trying to turn it using the stem.Once I got insertion right, I didn't feel it at all. not when I wentto the gym, or when I slept, or even when using the loo.I found it easy to adjust if the stem was irritating me, and getting it out was easy enough, too.Emptying and cleaning it at home was really simple. Out and about not so much. But I did find that giving it a wipe with some loo roll solved most of the problem until I got home.I haven't been able to go a full 12 hours without emptying it, but thatis because when I do have a period it is generally very heavy. However, I empty it by far less than I would changr towels (which was every hour to hour and a half). And now for the tmi bit.The bits I loved most about this is the feeling. When I cough or sneeze or fart, there isn't a horrid sensation of leaking. There also isn't the constant horror of wiping blood away every time I pee (i can't stand the sight of blood, even when it is my own).Overall, I love this product, and am no longer dreading all the horrible parts of my period, because this pretty much sorts them out.Not to mention, helping the environment, which is always a plus.

need to be comfortable with your lady bits.
Well after suffering from irritation from sanitary pads and not being able to use tampons because of the coil I started looking for an alternative..and I found this..I have used it for 3 cycles and I am just about getting to grips with it..the first cycle I'd advise wearing panty liners, as on the first attempts to place it and get it to fold out properly inside can be a bit tricky, you do end up with a few leaks until you can get the knack of it..and I still wear a pad at night as I found that wearing it through the night made me feel dizzy and a bit out of it in the mornings..I looked it up and it does happen that some women do experience this as your blood pressure can change at night and the cup does seem to increase the issues at night for me..so I take it out at night and soak it in the wash and pop it back in, in the morning. The pros are great though once you get past the initial teething stages..it's comfortable when inserted properly, you don't even realise it's in there. Even though I do use a pad at night..it's just 1 pad..which is a lot cheaper then the 15 I would go through a day.. I don't get irritation from it..and I can wear leggings without a big bulky pad sticking out..I can also now go swimming with it.. so yeah..all good..it got 4* because of the night time issue and the fact it's a bit tricky in the begging.. you also need to be comfortable with delving into your vagina and getting a bit of blood on you on occasion.. but if you've had kids..then I'm sure you are pretty comfortable around your vagina..haha..you've had worse happen to it..so yep..overall it's good.
