It's only been 3 days, but I can already see a difference! I suffer from hyperpigmentation and dry skin from years of not taking care of my skin. At age 51, I just decided to try to do something about it. 2 wks ago, I had my first chemical peel, but sadly, my face was so dry that as soon as it was applied, the dermatologist had to neutralize it. She commented about how dry my skin was, and said I needed a good moisturizer with sunscreen, which would prevent more dark spots from forming. I left there feeling defeated and figured I'd better address the dry skin problem first. After reading several product reviews, I ordered CeraVe AM Moisturizer with SPF 3O and a bottle of CeraVe PM Moisturizer. I also ordered a bottle of the Neutrogena liquid face wash, and started using them. After about a week, I noticed a huge improvement in my skin in terms of the dryness. The flakiness around my eyebrows was pretty much gone, and my skin looked & felt softer, but I nothing changed with regards to the dark spots. I did a little more research and came across this product. I was skeptical at first because I tried other oils, which basically did nothing they claimed to, but I figured I'd give it a try. One thing I noticed about the CeraVe daytime with sunscreen was the fact that it left a slight white residue, and it didn't leave my face feeling quite as moisturized as the night time, solve it often have to put a little of the night time moisturizer on top of the daytime when I used it in the morning. Fast forward to 3 days ago when this bottle of vitamin C skin clearing serum arrived. I continued with my same ritual, only after using the CeraVe Moisturizer in the morning, I would put a few drops of the vitamin C serum on my fingers and apply it all over my face. Immediately, I noticed my skin felt baby soft and that white residue from the CeraVe daytime was less noticeable. Here we are a few days later, and I just washed my face and noticed a huge difference in the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks. I wish I had a before and after picture, but trust me, there's a huge difference even though it's only been a few days. My skin feels amazingly soft and moisturized, and the dark spots are really starting to lighten amazingly well. If my skin doesn't approve anymore than it has, but still say this combination seems to be working well, so I'm pleased. However, I can't wait to see how clear and even -toned my skin looks by the time I finish this first bottle. I would definitely recommend this product, and I'll certainly continue using it myself!

Only after trying this serum did I find that mine is the type of skin whose hyperpigmentation worsens with salicylic acid :( So I discontinued the serum. The smell is a bit floral at first and then a herbal smell similar to tea tree oil comes through. But the other aspects were good - it was absorbed into the skin quickly, killed some types of bacteria and thinned down sebum in congested pores. It decreases oiliness and so makes the skin drier.

It is working. Best serum for face undoubtedly.

I love the texture of this serum. It does an amazing job and I have begun to use it on the back of my hands as well. Definitely is fading some of the age spots.
