Works exactly as described

Bought to use with harbor freight lights that no longer charge. Charger and batteries work. Takes 24+ hours to change when dead. Will buy another one or similar to keep up with use.

The road to 5,000mAh is long... Very long... And these batteries fell very short of it.Anyone who does a Google search for "Maximum Capacity of 3.7V 18650 Batteries" will undoubtedly find that these batteries max out at 3,600mAh. So how is that these batteries are rated at 5,000mAh? And that rating is not just in a product description page where the manufacturer/seller can blame a typo, but right on the nicely design battery label.As soon as I received these batteries I checked their internal resistance and I found it to be between 43mΩ and 48mΩ, which is good for 18650 batteries.Then I loaded them in my EPOCH X4 Touch Battery Charger and put them thru a "Capacity Test" cycle. This cycle will fully charge the batteries with a current of 1,000mA (1.0A), then it will discharge them with a constant current of 500mA (0.5A) until they reach a cutoff voltage of 2.75V and then applying a final full charge with a current of 1,000mA (1.0A). The capacity is calculated during the discharge step using the discharge current and the time it took to reach the cutoff voltage.Out of the 4 batteries in this set, the best capacity was 1,024mAh and the worst was 1,017mAh. Quite a long way from the claimed 5,000mAh. It would come closer to 5,000mAh if I added together the capacities of the 4 batteries in this set, but unfortunately that's not how it is done.On the positive side, there are many other batteries sold on Amazon which claim up to 9,900mAh, so 5,000mAh is not such a big lie. Besides, these batteries have a nice label.Back to Amazon they go!
