Before the Smoke Ninja was even released I bought a competition from a crowd funding thing.. It's good. The remote is IR though and I recently had a shoot where we needed to put it under the hood of a car and make it look like it was over heating. Well, since the remote is IR we had to start it smoking then drive and come to a stop. Took a bit too long and that one didn't have protection. So it worked for the shot but it got too hot and melted the plastic cap a little and the atomizing chamber is not 100% any more - ran out of fluid so I guess it burnt the cotton a little.So, I bought a smoke ninja. I like it. But saw the Ulanzi and that looked intriging so I bought that. Got it, the remote didn't turn on. Well, you can use it with the button on the main unit. I tried it - sounded like a bunch of mice screaming! The bearings were probably bad. So I returned that and bought this.AWESOME! This thing is well built. I tried the dry ice setting first.. It's virtually silent! Sure when you use it for the fog you hear it but it's quieter than the Smoke Ninja. This thing is great.. It has over heat protection and the remote is RF (I think - it's not IR anyway - direct line of sight is not needed).so if I had this on the video shoot all would have been well. This thing is great and well worth the money.

This must be designed for smaller shots than I had thought. I tried a couple of small outdoor shots trying to make “magic” flowers growing in the woods but this couldn’t make enough smoke or dense enough smoke to get the effects I was looking for, and kept going through the fluid too fast. This idea I hadWould have to be done in a studio with this not in the natural environment. Also this kept over heating and trying to shoot fire. Its a seems like a cool unit with some cool features, but I think its just too small to do what I need. I don’t need a big one for what I’m trying to do and thought this might do the job. I was able to enclose a small area with clear tarps and create the shot I attached with a friend that is a singer. So it can do good work if you can work within its limitations. Hopefully I’ll get some good ideas for shoots to make this useful. I really want to like this, because it has some cool presets and I like the remote control. It’s not hard to use.

This product was much more than I ever expected! I highly recommend. It offers a variety of modes and types of smoke for any job. Functions as listed and was well worth the money! The size is compact and sturdy.

Good product, the only accesory missing it's a flexible hose. It should include one, like other units.

I absolutely love this product. I have had it for a few months now and have used it several times. I love that it came with the liquid so it could be used right away. The different attachments were so fun. We used this for a spooky Halloween table we created for a trunk or treat type ordeal and it was perfect. The ease of moving and the rechargeable battery are amazing. Well worth the money and sleek and super portable. Would def recommend this and can’t wait to use this for future parties
