Gilboys Premium Beeswax Polishing Kit for Teak Furniture (rose gold) - for use on Teak Mid Century furniture

Bought on prime, ordered at 11pm Friday night was with me at the whistle if half-time for the 2024 FA CUP final, giving me 45mins to get a bit of extra research in before applying first the hard wax oil, then today (Sunday) I got the table top and extending leaves waxed and polished of a Frem Rojle Hans Olsen roundette table, plus the whole top and front of a G-Plan Brasillica team side board waxed and polished. I followed Simon’s videos on YouTube which are an invaluable resource and by the time I’d finished today I had two pieces of beloved furniture which had been absolutely abused but a loanee. I’m so glad to have them back and I’m so glad I found these products. Simon’s love of mid century furniture and the development of a product specifically for these wonderful mean I can enjoy and care for them for years to come. FYI… out of a 125ml jar I have about 1/3 left and that should do the chairs and another go of the tops. Brilliant - this job will take 4 days to fully complete and it has been a joy to have products that make it easy to do. I hope my photos give customers an idea of what can be achieved.

Used on mid century g-plan furniture It definitely gives it a new lease of life, beautiful finish lovely shine. No horrible smells, easy to use and value for money. So pleased with results have ordered again for our dark furniture.

I am not an expert on finishing antique furniture, but when I bought an Edwardian Mahogany Music Cabinet I realised it would need some relatively straightforward TLC i.e wax polishing, to return it to it's former beauty. I researched various makes of wax polish on the internet and elsewhere and many seemed to get very mixed comments, leaving me more than a little confused. I did, however, on my trawl, find Gilboys Beeswax Furniture Polish, about which, somewhat surprisingly, no such negative comments had been uttered. So, best foot forward, I decided to purchase the 'Rose Gold' kit, with the wire wool, cloth etc. Now, it may be a little more expensive than some waxes, especially with the accessories, and I am certainly no French Polisher but I was truly DELIGHTED with the finish I achieved, with just one coat (I will certainly apply more at intervals) . (The wife wants me to do all our oak furniture next.....!) The cabinet was transformed from a dull flat opaque state into a vibrant piece of furniture,with the mahogany glowing, full of light and shade, showing the true beauty of the wood. A very acceptable finish indeed for a rank amateur - so it has to be the polish I think.

The kit comes with everything you'll ever need to apply the product - wire wool, and a buffer. The product is superb and uses all-natural products (hence why it's comparatively more expensive). I've used it extensively on my furniture since I reached out to Gillboys some years ago. They are always on hand to reply to your enquiries too. Great product and definitely recommend.

After watching the youtube videos, I took the leap and ordered this kit for our G-Plan teak dining room table. It arrived promptly, the packaging and hand written notes are absolutely lovely and the product works fantastically! Our table is now looking better than ever. Thanks Gilboys!

I’m a housekeeper so very much familiar with beeswax polishes. However, this one I bought for myself to put on a sideboard I have just sanded. The finish is lovely and application very easy. It’s one of the best polishes I have ever used and will be using it regularly. I’ll be sending the empty jar back for a refil. Right I’m off to plant some sweet peas.
