Small scale, single shot price, doppio lungo performance.
A great espresso scale at a remarkable price. Our other scale on another machine was a DiFluid, which died, they replaced it, then the replacement died. Enough. This scale is only a few weeks old, so who knows. So far, zero problems, appears to be accurate, is definitely consistent. It looks good, it's easy to operate, not fiddly. Fits the big espresso machine and the smaller Breville Oracles, which are a bit cramped for larger scales.

It's not an Acaia but it's quite quality!
The scale is accurate down to the tenth of the gram and the reaction time is decent but nothing amazing [better than your average kitchen scale, definitely slower than your Acaia and whatnot]. However my favorite feature is definitely the auto-on feature! Once I put my portafilter or my mug on the scale it will turn on. I do think the espresso/pourover features are nice to have although in the morning I just tare, time, and pour... I can memorize my grind weight just fine. However when I'm taking the time out of my day to try a new coffee I will use them and they do work well. Overall a well made scale, I like that it's USB-C, charges quickly, keeps a charge for a long time, it's priced very cheap for the features it packs... what's not to like? Definitely not worth $200-300 but packs above its price point.

Great scale with 0.1g accuracy and coffee ratio function
few months in update: AWESOME! Finally read the manual and realized it has a great function for weighing properly the ground coffee, extracted coffee and gives espresso ratio and even measures time from the first coffee drop automatically. In between it can account for taring the portafilter and espresso cup. Needs charging every 1-2months with almost everyday use, not too bad. Accuracy is amazing. Beautiful product with great accuracy. The top part included helps protect the scale if used with hot coffee dripping and most importantly, supports the typical Portafilter to dose, weight the coffee! Battery is just ok, quite happy with the scale quality and practicality. Works well: Absolutely Ease of use: A+ Scale accuracy: 0.1g

pretty good! battery lasts a lot, bit fickle to find the right "charger"
So, a year in, it still works and looks the same, its pretty easy to use, and appears to be pretty accurate and very sensitive to very slight changes in weight or pressure. Battery lasts for months so when I first wanted to charge it, it didnt work with a smartphone charger, I dont remember if it also didnt work with a powerbank, but the usb from a pc works just fine, so it probably is limiting charging when its putting more voltage than needed or something. Tbh, "smart mode", eventhough is a bit limited in this one compared to pricier models, is something that I used once or twice, and then just stuck to use the usual weight, tare and timer functions everyday

Simple, elegant, compact and smart.
Well thought out, compact and does the job. Despite its small footprint, it can accept a full-size 58mm portafilter -- the handle hangs over the edge of the scale but the accuracy is unaffected. The Smart Mode is very handy -- for example, after first placing an empty portafilter on the scale, the scale (when in Smart Mode), automatically zeros itself so the ground coffee can be weighed. Very readable. It arrived about 2/3 charged, so I was use it from the outset. Charging via the type C port was easy, as expected. Highly recommended!

Perfect for my Gaggia Workflow
I recently purchased the MHW-3Bomber Espresso Scale and it has truly transformed my coffee-making experience with my Gaggia Classic Pro. This scale has become an indispensable part of my daily routine, and I can't help but give it a well-deserved 5-star rating. From the moment I started using the scale, I was blown away by its smart features. The gravity sensing device is an absolute time-saver. Placing anything over 100g on the scale automatically turns it on and tares the weight, eliminating the need for those fiddly on/off and tare button presses. This simplicity has streamlined my coffee-making process, allowing me to focus on the art of brewing rather than the setup. The smart mode is where this scale truly shines. The solid-liquid detection function is a genius addition. When brewing, the scale intuitively starts timing as soon as liquids are poured in. It's like having an expert barista assistant by your side, ensuring perfect timing for that ideal cup of espresso. And after the brewing is done, the scale displays a wealth of information, from time and liquid capacity to powder weight and the coveted liquid-to-powder ratio. This level of detail has elevated my precision and consistency to a whole new level. I can't forget to mention the mute function, which has been a dream come true. No more disruptive beeps early in the morning – just a serene and focused coffee-making process. And despite its powerful capabilities, the scale maintains a compact footprint. Its small size fits seamlessly alongside my Gaggia Classic Pro, taking up minimal space on my countertop. The USB charging port is the cherry on top. With a 1500mAh rechargeable lithium battery, I no longer need to worry about buying and replacing batteries. It's an eco-friendly choice that also saves me from unexpected battery shortages. To sum it up, the MHW-3Bomber Espresso Scale is an essential tool for any coffee enthusiast, especially those working with the Gaggia Classic Pro. Its intuitive features, smart mode, compact size, and convenience of USB charging make it a standout product in the world of coffee equipment. If you're serious about perfecting your coffee-making workflow, do yourself a favor and invest in this exceptional scale. It's a game-changer that has earned its place in my heart and on my countertop.

Was great for a month only.
Worked fine for almost two months. Suddenly wouldn’t weight properly and then only worked if I kept it plugged in. Even then most of the time it would be all blank digits. No actual numbers and then went “Lo” when I unplugged it immediately. Tried toggling the off and on a few different times and apparently something behind that switch broke because now that slider moves freely. Doesn’t actually select anything and nothing even lights up when I plug it in now. Complete waste of money now one month after the return window closed.

Good size. Fits portafilter. I think it's accurate, but I have nothing to compare it to. Works quite a while on a charge. You can store the coffee grounds weight, then it will auto-zero when the cup is placed on it. And when finished extracting, it shows beans-to-espresso ratio.
