It's a nice product and works good
It's a great product for building minds like my son he likes to build and make stuff home made from boxes and cloth to.

Defective but can't return. Bought in September but it was a Christmas gift.
Bought this item early because there was a limited amount, which was said when I looked. It was a Christmas gift but it's defective. It gets very hot and has a very bad smell of burning. I tried to return it but I can't. I do not recommend buying because it got so hot we thought it would catch fire. Beware. We are just out the $150.00 for this item. I will never buy anything this early again but my grandson wanted it so bad I didn't want him to be disappointed, but he was anyway. I gave it a one star because I had too or it wouldn't post this.I wish someone from the company would make contact with me about this defective item.

My 12 year old son loved this!
Purchased this for christmas for our 12 year old son. It was exactly what he wanted. Would purchase again and would recommend.

Almost perfect
Almost perfect, but the linkage is not really reliably functional setup the way they have it by default. With some tweaking it will work, but it's not a straight up build and go set, for example, the train will not go around the curved track included in the kit unless you mount the middle drive wheels backwards so the flanges are on the outside of the rail, effectively making them blind flag wheels. All the pieces were included, and we're all high quality, almost as good as lego.

The union pacific 844 steam train
This train was the worst kit I have ever bought, I have built many train kits but this one took the cake, from pieces not fitting properly, the motor section where the two motors go one in front and one in back have no room for the long wire connection to the battery which does not stay charged even after charging...it.. the 3 wheel systems do not stay together the pieces fall of.. the 2 side walls the go the length of both sides of the engine will not stay on..if you push on them they break apart. The front light did not work. Even as an experienced builder this kit is terrible I do not recommend it Unless you have tons of patience..to deal with the parts....but my train engine and the coal car are finished but mine will just be a show piece, because it won't run.. oh I forgot don't try and get hold of mould kings who makes the train they do not respond back.

Good idea but bad design and quality
This item best part is they tried to build UP 844 but the pieces are very phlimsy when together and the mechanics does not work properly when 100% assembled. The pistons and drive wheels do not work like they should. The train does not move and the piston assembly just falls apart.
