Brabantia 243745 Touch Waste Bin, 50-Liter, Brilliant Steel

I was looking forward to receiving this trash bin, and when it arrived, I was suprised it came in the display box without protective wrapping or any additional shipping box. When I opened it up and saw the back, I noticed there was a concave appearance and I was not sure if it was damaged. I called the seller, and I got a no response and a very abrupt disconnect. I finally called Brabantia in New Jersey, and the rep was very kind and accommodating. I sent him a picture of the can, and within minutes he got back to me and confirmed that this was, indeed, a damaged trash bin. I called the seller again, who expected me to pay for shipping the merchandise back and informed me they had no bins in stock and I would have to wait for a refund. It was my turn to disconnect the call. I immediately contacted Amazon and not only have they refunded my purchase but they are picking up the product at no cost to me. Although this seemed to be a good trash bin, it was very overpriced, and certainly not given the appropriate packaging for shipment.

My mom has had this trash can for over 12 years, so I decided to purchase the same one for myself. The push down, pop up nature of the lid is FANTASTIC. The mechanism is smooth and stays out of the way when the trash is getting full. The extra space above the top rim of the basket allows you to fill the trash bag completely full and trash still won't touch the lid. The cylindrical body is spacious enough to efficiently throw away large items, boxes and to go containers without awkwardly taking up space. Also it's super easy to take out the full bags - although it comes with Brabantia bags, you can use any standard 13 gallon bag. I think the Brabantia trash can is a unique product, totally worth the premium price it costs.I was a little concerned about the product coming damaged based on the amazon reviews of the 50L bin, but this amazon prime 13 gallon one came packaged in its product box and a shipping box. No complaints yet - hopefully I'll have this one as long as my mom had hers.

Good garbage can, if you overload the canister you will have problems with the latching mechanism. Don't overload it. The stainless steel is cheap crap, it's like super thick tinfoil. It arrived with dents and dings in it but I was in such a need of a garbage can, I had just moved and didn't have one, that I just kept it. If I had actually been happy with the quality of the materials then I would have returned it for a new one but I instantly regretted spending $130 on this... I wish I would have just outright returned it. If you manage to get one that is dent free and don't let anyone touch it they'll never know how cheaply constructed this beautiful looking garbage can sitting in the corner is.

I was looking for a stainless steel trash can that didn't have a hand sensor for opening it. I didn't want the option for something to break. It's just a trash can, not rocket science. This can is great. It has a large capacity, a simple push button operation, and the lid opens slowly so it won't damage your walls or move the can upon opening. It also looks great. So far I am very pleased.

I only bought this because I exhausted my 10 year warranty. Keep your receipt - if you have to replace any part of the trash can it's free. I noticed that Amazon sells just the lids - I didn't have the heart to destroy the old one - it was demoted to the garage but needs a new lid. If it had broken three years ago I would've gotten a replacement lid for free.

This is a great product, but unfortunately it arrived damaged and I had to return it. :(

Utilisée pour les déchets cartons et plastiques j'apprécie son design, sa facilité d'entretien et surtout sa grande capacité qui me permet de tenir près d'une semaine avant de la vider.Très bon produit !

Après plusieurs mois d'utilisation, nous sommes toujours très satisfait de cette poubelle esthétique et pratique. Bien sur le prix est en conséquence, mais aucun regrets.

Voilà au moins deux ans que je l'utilise et je ne regrette pas l'investissement. Aucun problème, marche très bien comme au premier jour. Je recommande !

Très satisfaite mais un peu décue qu'il n'y ai pas de bac amovible à l'interieur comme les autres poubelles BRABANTIA.sinon très bien.

Pas de bac noir pour le sac poubelle malgré le prix , dommage .... ... .'. .. ... ... ...
