American Girl: Around the World Cookbook: Delicious Dishes from Across the Globe

Easy to use for my seven-year-old daughter. We are excited to Incorporated in this year's eLearning / homeschooling as we discover other countries and cultures an hour learning units. A great gift idea, especially if you pair it with some of the mini kitchen utensil sets.

My 9 year old granddaughter absolutely loved this book. The recipes are so good that my daughter was just as excited as my granddaughter to try the out.

Great idea for kids to learn how to cook and be exposed to different cultures.

Purchased this as a gift for a little girl who loves American Girl and loves hearing my travel stories - I thought this book who be a hit. I peeked inside to see how it is organized and promptly decided to return it. It is not visual enough. many of the recipes do not contain photographs of the dish. And it is not really organized in a logical way. There is not really interesting information about the dish and how it relates to that part of the world. And wouldn't it be nice if the models within the book actually represented the places around the world? It does not do this. I want something that not only was accessible for young girls to cook but also offered them a glimpse into cultures. This book most definitely does not do either.

The recipes are good and simple. My granddaughter chose the Swedish meat balls for our first play date luncheon and they were a big hit with the 8-10 years old as well as the adults. The recipes are easy for my granddaughters to cook on their own with just a little help.

Book looks cute but there must have been a misprint because if you hold the book what looks like the correct orientation based on the outside cover everything is upside down and backwards once you open it. My 5 year old is so distracted by that we haven’t been able to try any of the recipes yet

Purchased as a gift for a 9 year old that likes to cook. She made at least one recipe so far and said it tasted good and was easy to follow.

I bought this for my nieces 8th birthday and she loved it! She’s very interested in learning how to cook and bake and was so delighted with the multicultural recipes! Can not wait to try them with her!
