Unique Zipper YKK #5 Heavy Conceal - Invisible (Bridal Wear), Select Length and Color (Length 23 inches, White)

I made the mistake of using a standard invisible zipper in a gown (it split wide open) and had to sew the bride into her dress 1/2 an hour before the wedding. Thankfully, a sash hid my handiwork. But, I then later, had to cut her out of the dress in her honeymoon suite at three o'clock in the morning while the anxious groom stood nearby. A moment to remember. I'd never even heard of a heavy-duty invisible zipper and I've been a tailor for more than 45 years.

The zipper pull was a little larger than I would have liked, but certainly needed the heavier zipper for a very heavy wedding dress with a long train.

Good for heavy duty bridal gowns

Used this to a repair a 10# in weight fully beard Tony Bowls gown which had previously split two zippers in a row due to the weight of the rhinestones. This invisible zipper did the trick and I was able to hide it fully by seeing additional sequins into the gap. Highly recommend if your pageant gowns keep busting zippers due to liquid beading or weight
