purchased out of curiosity just to mess around. it was cheap enough. thought maybe it can be useful or improve my sound. it sounds fine. rca voltages are unknown although it seems to be 4v or so. rear rca connections are weak so i wouldnt use cables with beefy rca connectors like monster cables. it has cell phone interference if your phone is nearby which is annoying when my phone is mounted nearby. the leds are too bright and not adjustable. i dont think any brand is so i covered it. it dimmers when played at high volume. nothing else in my car dims so take that as you will. perhaps the power cables are too small or just a poor power circuit supply. i played with all the features and they all seem to work fine. fader is useful and raise a few frequency bands and then i just set everything to flat and prefer it that way. knobs are tight and a bit tiny. its not something i play with often so its not an issue with me. all in all its already installed so ill leave it be. i find it useful for the fader feature or when i feel the need to tinker with the sound. perhaps a premium brand mightve been what i was really after.

Great device. I was surprised by its solid construction, and the options of connecting to your sound system.

These type of equalizers I wanted the best upgrade you can make to your car audio system. That being said I installed this, I swapped it out for my American bass seven band EQ, and I was quite impressed with the sound quality that I'm actually going to leave it in the vehicle for the time being. It does have a few downsides, it does not have an adjustable sub frequency, it's set at either 60 Hertz or 90 Hertz, but so far that I have not had an issue with that. And I don't think it puts out 8 volts. I had to readjust the gains on my amplifier after installing it because it was too quiet compared to the American bass, which is a 7 volt output. It has a little bit of weight to it, it feels well-built, and I'm not an expert on the internal components but it does look pretty good inside. And it's actually. Another negative is the brackets the hold it are silver, I wish they would have been painted black, but that's kind of nitpicking. It has three audio input sources, two sets of RCAs in the back, and a 3.5 mm in the front. There is a couple sensitivity knobs which do not control the main channel, it controls the auxiliary input. And the 3.5 mm input works by simply plugging something into it. I'm going to continue running it, if anything comes up I will update my review, but if you're looking for an equalizer and this is your budget, it's actually a very nice unit quite surprised. And the LED back lights are blue and quite bright. The potentiometers feel decent, they are a little stiff but they are very smooth, they should break in.
