The pills are a normal size capsule. I take it at night, no issues. I have noticed I have been more regular since starting this prebiotic, so I'm fairly certain it's working and it's only been a few days. To me there is no taste or smell and it swallows just like anything else.

Good enzymes
Enzymes are something I’m starting to take. I didn’t realize how well they work. I’ve taken probiotics but they didn’t seem to always work. Granted, it’s an internal effect for probiotic use if you don’t have any real digestive problems. But bloating is one I do have. I’m really happy with this.
