Colour:Black Made from anodised aluminium, it stays incredibly cool after being chilled to keep butter from melting into the dough. Laser engraved graduated measurements in both inches and millimetres help ensure a perfect size crust. Rolling dough has never been this cool.

Top notch
This rolling pin is brilliant. It was recommended in a cookery demonstration by Jane Lovett (author of cook book 'Make it Easy') and I'm so pleased I bought it. Unfortunately my husband saw the receipt and couldn't believe the price of this rolling pin but I think it is well worth it - I have tried so many over the years and this is far and away the best. It did a great job of the mince pies this Christmas and I'd recommend it to anyone. Thanks, Jane, for telling me about it!

The pin's a chillin'
This is a great tool. Being able to chill the rolling pin while chilling dough helps maintain the cool integrity and consistency of dough. We've made excellent crescent rolls and are looking forward to tackling croissants, which would be impossible without a chilled rolling pin. It easy to handle and just the right size for whatever one might choose to bake.

Color comes off.
We've had this for a couple years and use sporadically. Last time I used it, my dough turned blue from it. Gross.

Perfect rolling pin
Item arrived nicely packaged for mailing. The rolling pin is beautiful, glad I got the black, the measurement markings are very clear. My husband used it for the first time tonight and said it was wonderful and easy to work with

Wife was very pleased how it rolled out biscuit dough
Wife was very pleased how it rolled out biscuit dough. It holds a light dusting of flour and keeps the dough from sticking to it.

Mom likes it.
All that matters, right?

Perfect Purposeful Pin Pushes Price Point
I love to bake. I usually make sourdough by hand so I haven't used this tool a ton. But, the times I have needed it and used it it has performed exceptionally. Despite it's high costs, if you are truly into baking and/or do a lot of pie crusts, biscuits, etc., this pin proves it's value in performance and design. I waffled on 4 or 5 stars, but in the end I cannot deny it's a great product (just at the top of the reasonable price range). As you probably noticed, it's aluminum (with plastic endcaps) and because of the ability to chill the pin in your fridge makes it great for rolling out pie crusts, biscuits and other quick breads that require the butter to be folded into the dough without melting. It also looks really nice and feels good to work with. It's large though and doesn't fit in any of our drawers, so make sure you measure. A major consideration is the price. It's a bit on the high end considering you can get a wood pin of decent quality for under $10 (on Amazon or in a store). But, this pin really does out perform my wood pins (which I have a few). It has become my go-to pin and it looks sleek enough to leave it out on the counter. As previously mentioned I struggled to give it 5 stars because the price is so high. If you are on the fence with purchasing this item the real question becomes how often do you bake pie crusts or biscuits or other quick breads that need the butter to remain intact? You'll have this pin for a very long time so the costs becomes negligible if you are going to be using it multiple times a month or more.

Nice!
So I've never owned a rolling pin, but I recently took up baking. After lots of comparing between wood, marble, and metal this was the winner. This is a very impressive baking tool. It's stylish, sleek, and performs well. The only negative is its length. This does not fit in any of my drawers. Because it's kind of pretty it sits on my kitchen counter but it would be nice to put it away when not in use....

AMAZING IDEA !!
This is the greatest rolling pin ever ! Put it in the refrigerator to get cold and roll out perfect pie crusts. Even has measurements on it to see how big your circle is. Easy cleaning too; much better than wood.

Best pin for pie crust and buttery pastry.
Okay, this is the Rolls Royce of rolling pins, which must be why it's ridiculously expensive. I bought it for my kids, who bake a lot of pies, and they are ecstatic. I would never spring for one myself, since my baking is more pedestrian, but if you're doing pie crust, puff pastry, etc., this pin is definitely worth it.

Nice roller especially for finicky pastry
I love this roller- it’s sleek and it freezes nicely for roller my out pie crusts and puff pastry. My only issue is that it’s a bit longer than most rollers, so storage can be an issue.
