The material of the vessel is not thick as mentioned. The sides and the base of the kadai gets heated up very fast. If you using this for making poriyal or deep frying stuffs like poori or appalam the sides of the pan develop a stain because it is so hot and this stain is so tough to clean. I have used other Indus Valley products and the are usually decent/good but this is bad. Waste of money.

Good size for a small family. Heavy build quality, great finish. Good hold on handles. I had great ease using the steel lid. Very happy with my purchase. Value for money product.

It is light weight and gets heated fast. If you are someone who cook food at high flame , go for some heavy weight bottom. Because food get burnt and produces smoke.

Not practical at all. As soon as it was placed on the stove, it started making that sound when u try to cook in a very thin steel vessel. The issue is the bottom to top ration which is not practical. The bottom is pretty narrow hence despite being thick doesn’t help even if u place it on low flame. The upper part of this kadai is very thin, it will start making that sound as if something’s wrong. And it changed the colour within seconds after placing it in the stove that too on low flame which makes it impractical to use. Build quality is bad for the price. I’m comparing the price as I already have a pan from Bergener which is way cheaper and better built. Maybe wider bottom would help with this issue.
