I was shopping for a premium office chair as a unique gift. After visiting office stores, furniture stores and warehouse stores, my personal findings were similar products which seem to have been stereotyped for decades. I ended up giving this product a try and I don’t regret about the choice.It’s easily recognizable, right upon opening the package, that the materials used in this chair build are in good quality. They are not simply “standard” materials from a supplier without handpicking. Even the instruction manual, included tools and hardware, and packaging materials are superior than what you’d usually see from a furniture retail package. I found the metal parts are solid and polished, mesh parts are durable and the leather parts are more than smooth to touch on.Installation was straightforward and easy. One step a bit of tricky was to align up and fix together the back panel with the seat, where two extension parts (prong like) from the “spine” of the back panel need to fit in a groove on the bottom of the seat. It’s a step I usually don’t see when assembling an office chair but it turns out this is the best innovated part of design. The groove would allow lumber support to automatically move and adjust to your sitting/reclining position, so you lumber is always supported from sitting straight up to reclining to a large extent.There are four controllers at both sides of seat bottom which gives you a lot more adjustment options than a typical office chair. Besides the usually seen sitting height and depth (how forward/backward you’d like your seat to be), the other two controllers make your whole torso and upper back reclining (with position lock option) at a comfortable angle of choice. When fully reclined, I was feeling it similar to “zero weight” posture on an adjustable bed base. It’s so comfortable that I was joking that it’s more appropriate for a home office as it could make “taking a nap during work” unavoidable.The shoulder, head and neck support is another ergonomic advantage that I didn’t realize before in other office chairs. They are made in genuine leather (cooling and breathable). The curvy shape enables functional support from both shoulders and holds your neck and head well in position. No neck pain after waking up from an intended or “incidental” nap.I am 5’8” in height and ~150 pounds in weight. This chair is a perfect size to me, while I can see the fully adjustable height of the back panel as well as the position of neck/head support would make it a good companion to people in a wide range of sizes. If you are also a shopper looking for elegantly designed modern furniture and not a big fan of bulky, old school (though also quality built) office chairs, this one could be something I’d recommend trying.And did I mention the arm rests can tilt at an angle to fully support your arms holding a phone or tablet? That can make watching mobile devices while reclining even more relaxing.
