Great screen, wrong electrical socket adaptor
I bought this screen for enhancing web browsing and light office activity, and to continue moderate gaming - I don't play most big titles so comments will be based on experience with older games.Positives;- Low cost for high resolution- Looks good when face-on, relatively thin bezel which maxes out at around 25mm along the bottom, ~15 mm elsewhere- Can be set really bright if needed- Decent colour replication (nothing special)- Comes with HDMI, DisplayPort cables, plus a cord to connect the monitor's USB ports to your PC (I found that the PC-side connector was a USB 3.0 Type B (google it), and my PC didn't have a compatible port - worth checking if this is important to you)- Fits perfectly into my VESA monitor stand (100 x 100mm holes)- 2 x USB ports in the monitor, so great if your PC is tucked away and you need convenient ports- Noticed no difference in screen response time to my previous monitor, so fine for my gaming needsNegatives;- My monitor came with EU power cord (EU socket instead of UK socket) - had to use my old cord and now means I have a monitor that I can't plug in without a replacement cord. If aren't in the position to do what I did, you will not be able to use it!- Viewing angle is not great, wont be a problem for most unless you are very close to the screenFor the gamers:A word of warning; if you are considering upgrading from 1080p monitor then be aware that you will be effectively doubling the workload on your system graphics card (GPU) and you may need to adjust your game setting to play at the new resolution. (1440p gives your the same number of pixels as two 1080p screens so your GPU needs to render more pixels per second = lower FPS)I expected, and indeed experienced, FPS drops after installing this screen (because my PC is not powerful enough), so my solution was to set my games to 1080p output. The screen will still show this using the full display, you will just notice that the pixel density does not look as good.Summary - this is a good screen for good value, and for most users this screen will give you a lot more real estate that you will find useful. The incorrect power cord is annoying, so I would appreciate the seller getting in touch to help me with this! Cant find a way to contact them directly.

a good monitor with a few tweaks
This is a great value monitor, the size is wonderful for gaming whilst sitting at a desk. I did need to tweak the colour settings though (I recommend googling the best settings for your connection, i use the vga port for connection and set the brightness to 75 with the contrast at 85 also one of the other settings i forgot, it is in misc in the menu which you access by pressing the button marked enter on the screen). Oh and it has a lovely slim frame (bezzle?).One thing that really bugged me about this was that it came with a stand, great, but the stand seems to be holding the monitor at a downward pointing angle (i could not see where to adjust it, if thats possible its just me being dense but if not it is a very strange design choice!) which meant i had to prop it up on a bunch of books.

No power cable! Nvidia graphics on a Freesync monitor. EDIT:Dodgy - see video
The media could not be loaded. Overall a decent monitor. Except upon opening no power cable - why? This monitor uses a 'kettle' cable (3 pin mains like your PC), my previous monitor used a 'brick' power supply so I couldn't simply swap them over. Had to g out and buy a cable - annoying. Comes with HDMI cable and a Display Port 1.2 cable. I did buy a Display Port 1.4 cable, just in case because you never know what cables will be in the box, or not in the box like a flipping power cable... but it didn't work, so am using the cable that came with the monitor.Pleased so far, using Freesymc on a Nvidia GTX1080ti without a problem, just a complaint from Nvidia Control Panel that effectively says "Hey this isn't a G-Sync monitor but ok tick the box and we'll let you use Freesync."EDIT: Had this monitor for 3 days now and have noticed a slight issue, nothing serious but noticeable. When downscaling desktop to 1920x1080 and watching YouTube content there is a slight stutter which occurs every 30 secs. or so it only lasts for a split second but is noticeable especially when watching people talk. This happens if vertical sync is ON or even if vertical sync is set to 'Let 3D application decide'. Nothing major but as I said it can be seen especially because we are humans and can notice something is 'off' when watching other humans speak.EDIT: Returned, kept turning off.

Excellent for the price. Freesync shines!
I built a new PC recently and was looking for a FREESYNC monitor that had 2560x1440 resolution. I didn't want to go down the 4K route yet, and just needed to keep the cost down. Having paired this with an RX580 GPU. For £180, I can't fault it yet for the image quality. The stand is super easy to fit on, great design. It has a nice mat finish with a fairly thin outer edge, so it looks fine. Don't rely on it for sound though, it's really not good but i use headphones for gaming. So far I've been nothing but impressed. It replaced an older ASUS which was originally a top monitor, and blows it away. Haven't had chance to play too many games, but Warframe made me sit up and see how much better it is than the older 1080P monitor. I was surprised how bright and contrasty the image was. But it's the Freesync that in some games that adds to the amazing quality of the image. I just started again with Borderlands 1 which is ancient and has no V-Sync option, so the image was tearing. Turn on the Freesync and voila it's just great, old game looking good :)Update: Having played Titanfall2 and Battlefield 5 on it, i can definately say it's an excellent monitor. It's only a 70hz screen though so be aware. I'm very happy with it.

Great for graphics
Plugged it in and used it, calibration made only a slight change to the settings, colours all look rich and natural, image is crisp. I don't game so can't comment on that but very pleased with it for graphics and photo editing and much better than the old 27" iiyama it has replaced, seems to have a much wider tonal range.Down side is the dismal built in speakers, why did they bother. A couple of USB ports on the side which are handy but the audio in/outs are on the back near the middle so difficult to reach. Overall I am delighted with it, good value.
