Nova Neptune 15 Inch Digital Direct Drive Benchtop Lathe

Finally found a lathe that can keep up with me turning, instead of the other way around. Nova has out did themselves on this one. Has so many neat features, but truthfully I won't use a lot of them. I have been turning since the late sixties. Learned on an old Powermatic monster where you have to learn to keep up with it. The infinite speed control on this Neptune is the greatest thing no pulllies to move no belts, just turn the knob you can go from 50-4000. I tried it with heavy cuts to see what it would do the most it varied was about 5 or 6 rpm, but it did catch up real quick. I do mostly bowls, vases, and platters. Just finished turning a short lamp on it, Was really impressed. This thing has some weight to it 145 lbs. I think this might be my last lathe hope it lasts a long time. Super quite everything runs true!!
