Definitely watch the video on how to properly install this. Once you do, you won't regret it. Trick is not to install it too tightly. I cant believe I spent all of lockdown without my vitamix. I called "customer care" (not!) and they wanted to charge me about £150 plus expected me to take the vitamix to them. "Excuse me, but we are in lockdown but you are a company who should be concerned about your customers" I said. (I have owned two - one of which I gave to my partner for his home). The told me that the warrantee had expired only ONE MONTH before I phoned. So .... um....? During lockdown .... one small discretionary bit of help? Anyhow my point is that I wish they had said "What is the problem? Perhaps we can help you over the phone." A year later...and I finally worked it out! Within two days - fixed. So happy. Thank you Amazon. Thank you youtube. No thank you so-called Vitamix "Customer Care" 🙄 :)

Absolutely the worst product. Ordered 3 of these. All 3 were different. The screws were different lengths and widths.

I thought my Vitamix TNC 5200 was dead after the jug came to the end of its life and seized, breaking this part. After a quick call to the excellent Vitamix customer services, I learned this part is supposed to break to protect the motor when that happens. I was directed to order this part. I found a very good video on YouTube instructing me how to change out the drive sockets and I highly recommend anyone looking to change this part watches it. I took my time, and had to have a few attempts before getting this just right, but after following the instructions exactly, and with a new jug now in place, my ten year old Vitamix is working like new again. Make sure when fitting this part, that you don’t over tighten it - it’s supposed to lift up slightly when properly fitted.

Well the quality is even better than the genuine one I have bought, unfortunately the screw is longer and bigger than the original one, does not fit in... shame

Working great for now. Not sure for how long in the professional kitchen....

The only thing I disliked was, I was unable to put the screw in. I tried and tried, but it works fine without it.

Perfect replacement

Our Vitamix has not been working properly. Motor works, but it doesnt grind anything! Few youtube video suggested that driver socket might be a problem. Ordered it, got it the next day and replaced the old driver socket with new and the Vitamix worked right away!!!!! Saved me $$$
