This setup is perfect for my tent. Although my tent is water-resistant, it’s not fully waterproof. I’ve never camped during Arizona’s monsoon season, but I imagine it would be incredibly relaxing. If I can stay in my spacious tent with everything I need for two to three days, I wouldn’t need to go outside—just enjoy the soothing sound of the rain. This rainfly is ideal for that kind of weather. While it might not be completely waterproof, it should hold up well, and my tent will take care of the rest.A great idea!!!By using six stakes with curved tops or hoops, you can create a movable rainfly system to extend a roofed porch in front of your tent. Place three stakes on each side of the tent, positioning two at the back, two at the front, and two farther ahead where you want your porch to end. Then, run a rope along the stakes and attach sliding rings to allow smooth movement of the rainfly. Secure the rope to two nearby trees for stability. When it rains, you can pull the rope to the tent or to slide the rainfly forward, transforming it into a shaded porch area for the tent.

This is great for shade. the fabric is water proof. we use it as a shade and sometimes as a tarp for ontop of the grass or sand.
