If there is a rat around it will eliminate it- for sure.
If there is a rat around you can be sure it - the rat - will eat this cake and die somewhere. Mostly, not in our compound. We count the pieces we leave overnight. Collect them in the morning. If the count in the morning is less we are happy. Which means the rat(s) eat them. Very effective. Using it for years Use them along with the mouse pad - also from PCI. We put 12 of these pads in the pathway or doors or staircase steps. Mostly when we are sure a rat has entered a cupboard or room. Without fail it will trap the rat overnight. Then we throw away the one or two pads where the rat is caught -along with the rat- and store the rest of the pads for the future. Together the cake a d the pads are a good solution against rats.

it does work but the rats love it . they finish it like sweets . keep it in those golgappa wala donna in places where water does not come and rats try entering and voila they get drowsy and go out and you can throw them the ones used by the pest control guy was of better quality . lasted me for 2years . this lasted for 2 to 3 days . 2 pieces

Killer.
Rats find it irresistible. It is effective, but you need to keep on putting it in the place rats pick up p, continuously over the days so that all the rats that come that side will eat and get killed.
