Excellent mini PC - Fast, quiet, and perfect specification
Bought the SEI14 (125H) after my first choice Beelink SER8 under performed (780m had much worse graphics performance than the 760m with stuttering and distorted sounds when high action or fast mouse movement. This of course shouldn’t happen. Beelink was great but we couldn’t figure it out. We tried everything). PC was returned to Amazon for refund. Switched to a Beelink SEI14 due to Intel, price with discount, specifications and performance, as well as knowing Beelink support was excellent unlike others. The port selection is superb. I did my homework on the Core 5 Ultra and the performance of the Arc 7 Core graphics (don’t confuse this with Xe as they are worlds apart). My other PC’s are all Intel 12th or 13th gen and I’ve never had any problems unlike I’ve had with AMD. Maybe I’m just unlucky. I bought Amazon protection after past experience. Although not bought for just gaming, the performance of the iGPU is similar to an AMD 760m which in itself is around the same as a 680m and around 25% less than the 780m. Actual benchmarks are very similar to a 780m but not actual gaming (drivers are improving). I tweaked the fan cooling curve in the BIOS (lower second stage fan to kick in at 70 not 80 temperature). This helps when under stress. The noise is still very quiet. It’s very stable under stress. I can leave it on for days without any issue. It came with the latest BIOS (I checked with Beelink). Make sure the Power setting in both the BIOS and Windows is high performance/performance if used for gaming. Don’t worry about VRAM settings. It uses shared memory automatically and no bios setting. The 32Gb memory is 2x 16Gb Crucial DDR5 5600. Make sure you use 32Gb and 2x 16Gb for full performance. Even with DDR5, there is noticeable improvement with using dual memory. I replaced the Phison m2 SSD with a Crucial P3 Plus 1Tb and placed a 2Tb in the second slot. Nothing wrong with the Phison (I think they make the Acer ones), I just wanted to replace if I had to return plus I had the 1Tb spare. It has a huge heatsink covering both SSD m2 slots. I always install a fresh W11 Pro. The drivers are on the Beelink website, although always use the latest Intel drivers for graphics. Windows updates picked up a few. I had to install 3 plus the latest Intel Arc Graphics software. Will this last the test of time? We will see and I will change my review accordingly. Don’t let the AMD fanboys put you off Intel. There can be some dubious reviews too.

It's a good product, perhaps not for Gaming "as-is"
I didn't expect this to be good for gaming, when it only has the Intel HD APU graphics available. However, I didn't buy it for that. I've bought it and installed Linux and this is in use for Video processing and transcoding. For this it works better than fine. The CPU, I expected to be bottle-necked by thermals due to the form factor. But it wasn't in the tests I did, performance was good and temperatures weren't going too high (generally topping out at 60-65c). SSD performance was also pretty good. Inside mine was a 1TB Crucial P3 Plus, and write performance seemed to hold up (using DD) at 2.3GB/s even after writing 330GB of data to the drive. I would recommend this for someone that needs a bit more CPU power, or wants to play less demanding games as a workstation, or someone that wants a small form factor home server (this fits nicely in the TV equipment cabinet). Should any problems arise I will update the review. But as of right now, it's quite a nice little machine.

Great mini PC and excellent manufacturer support
This is a review for the Beelink Mini PC SEI8 Windows 10 Pro,8th Gen Intel i5-8279U (Up to 3.8GHz) 8GB DDR4 256GB. I mention this because amazon bundles reviews for different products together so do check this review is for the product you are interested in. I bought this to run my astrophotography rig and it does this without issue. I did upgrade RAM to 16GB and add a second SSD for storage but I suspect it would have run fine with just the 8GB RAM. It is not as powerful as a full size desktop, as is expected, be but benchmark scores are much better than I was getting with two cheap laptops ( a top end i3 and mid-range i5). I am very happy with performance in general but haven't tried to run games or high quality video on it. The support I have received has been fantastic, quick responses to questions and when I broke a ribbon cable clip when installing the SSD (my fault) they sent me a replacement out FOC from China - impressive.

Beelink SEi14 - Interesting concept, poor execution for a mini PC in this price range
Model Purchased: SEI14 Supplied with a Windows key that was invalidated by Microsoft as soon as an update was applied. To ship with an invalid Windows key is unacceptable. I have read that other buyers of this brand have had the same issue with invalid keys. The manufacturer will apparently issue a new valid key on request. Documentation focuses on the use of access to NVME slots. In reality you need to punch through the rubber base to expose the screws and gain access. The fan spins up and down constantly which is very annoying. A more constant fan with a different fan profile would possibly solve this Item returned due to too many issues for a small PC at this price point. A shame as I really wanted to like this item

Excellent value, great performance, fabulous machine
I added a 1tb ssd, upped the ram to 16gb with an 8gb sodimm, and installed Ubuntu alongside windows to make it a dual boot system. It was a doddle. The performance has been flawless, with Linux I have been running a software defined radio under gnu radio with 20MHz bandwidth and multiple concurrent ffts and have not had a single overrun. I love this little machine.

Graphics are its weakness
Easy to set up, very quite and plenty of external connections. The only downside is the graphics are limited. I only use it for email, streaming and internet and its fine, I suspect anything more challenging would be difficult. Everyday use its really Ok. It boots up really fast. I have installed Office 2021 and everything is fine. For the price this is really hard to beat.
