Arbogast Jitterbug Topwater Bass Fishing Lure - Excellent for Night Fishing

This thing is a bass killer, but I am going it 4 stars rather than 5 because the I have never used a lure that got its hooks in the swivel more frequently. It seemed like the forward most trihook got itself tangled in the swivel (tried two differnt sized swivels to see if that made any sort of difference and it didn't) every couple casts all day. Still, barring that problem, this should be in every bass fishermans box.

I used last night for the first time and landed 3 bass [ 2-3lbs] in 2.5 hours at a local regional park. this is a great lure. Just be warned its not a segmented lure as the picture shows.

I found it here on Amazon and just couldn’t pass it up. About a month ago, many were on sale for like $3. I had one as a child back in the 1970’s and it bought back a little nostalgia because it was the exact same Jitterbug inside the same package. It also is a great Floater or Topwater lure. The color is similar to a bullfrog and any Bass loves frogs. Made to last a lifetime. The huge front lip is designed to replicate a frog or tadpole swimming across the surface. The surprise of a big bass leaping from below right in front of your eyes as it strikes is something that will not be forgotten. Highly recommended.

I live this lure, it swims side to side perfectly when reeled at the right speed, i have caught more fish on this lure than all the other topwater lures I have, i love it, it outperforms all my othe rlures in every way.

Versand und Qualität des Köders alles super, aber der Köder macht so viel Radau dass alle fische schnell das Weite suchen statt zu beißen.Für normale deutsche Fische nicht geeignet ist eher was für Schwarzbarach etc

Too light to cast more than 30 feet. Also so light that it is hard to "walk" back to the boat. Had a tendency to just skim across the top of the water.

I heard so many good things about jitterbugs and decided to get the jointed. I've fished it very early in the morning up north and didn't get any bites. Fished it slow...once in a while it will get tangled with the line on casts. For now I'd give it 3 stars.
