Benzoin (Styrax tonkinensis) Essential Oil is the balsamic resin from benzoin (a small tree). Benzoin is a fixative. Used in aromatherapy as a natural preservative in creams, it's also comforting, uplifting and warming as a muscle ease massage - especially when a 'pick me up' is needed. Useful as a steam inhalant, especially in winter. It soothes cracked skin and is excellent for use in gardening hand creams. In colder months Benzoin will require gentle warming before use. It has a rich, warm, slightly woody, creamy aroma similar to Vanilla. CAUTION: Possible skin sensitivity and contact dermatitis.
