The idea is great and I wish I had listened to other negative reviews.1 these only work with either big mouthed bottles like a 4 litre milk or a 2 litre water. You cant use small 250/500 mill as they are too small.The seal is so bad the water is through and out in 5 mins.I even tried plumbers sealing tape but the plastic they use so poor you simply cant make a seal. Add that you have to use the adaptor to fit the 2 liter and you have 2 seal points.MAYBE the Hoselock one is better but this is awful, avoid like the plague. Buy cheap buy twice.Edit. Even the Big ones leak like a sieve you may as well simply pour 2 Liters over the plants in one go. DONT BUY

More than a little disappointed with this purchase for these reasons. Firstly, the green caps have two options to fit different bottle threads, the push fit mechanism to provide this option is just not tight enough. If you pull an empty bottle from a plant pot, it comes away at the push fit joint leaving the rest of the green top buried in the soil.Secondly the threads themselves on the inside of the green tops are way too feeble, it's far too easy to override the threads on the top of the bottle leaving the green top loose on the bottle.Finally the porcelain dispensers just deliver water too fast. I was using the lids with smaller plastic Coke bottles and they were empty after a couple of hours, this kind of defeats the purpose for which they were bought! 😬

Water just washes through the adaptor join and into the plants.I tried using water proof glue and although this slowed the leak it wasn't much good for a long term watering solution.So just a potentially good idea badly manufactured and ultimately useless or worse as 2 l of water went into my Coriander plants in a coup,e of hours killing them.

I first discovered these watering cones in France (under the brand AquaSolo) and they worked a treat! I couldn’t mind them in the UK .... until Hozelock started to produce something similar. I.d stocked up on the Hozelock version and was somewhat disappointed with the high failure rate. But as the only producer of these cones, I had no choice but to buy them. Then a few weeks ago, I came across this (HIMM) version and and was delighted to have an alternative ..... sadly this is a waste of time and money! The quality is terrible! In my opinion: Cheap. Naff. Unusable. Avoid.

...and good for medium pots.In my experience these are working unlike the useless dripper type I have tried.Note that you need "Cola" type soft drink bottles not fruit juice or mineral water bottles. Update - I might be wrong there, its a two part fitting, remove one part and it fits on some fruit juice bottles.

Works quite well, once you find a suitable plastic bottle that fits the ceramic holder. A litre water bottle will last a couple of days in my greenhouse for one tomatoe plant. However in extreme heat, the water will have to be topped up each day. I also use outside in my large pots. The same applies. On really hot days 25© and above the bottle will quickly empty.

Not good. The connector to the bottle is very soft. When you fill the bottle with water, the weight causes the connection to bend and it falls over. Very frustrating

Useless. They do NOT fit the bottles suggested, the water pours out and therefore emptied within an hour. I have bought other brands before and they were amazing. Theses one are ‘screw’ on and soft plastic. They are not durable enough and a very bad design.
