Callaway Golf Chrome Soft Golf Balls, (One Dozen), Prior Generation

I've been a Pro V1x guy for a solid decade. The feel at launch, trajectory and all other aspects were the best ever.This year I decided to test the waters and see if there may be a better answer. Previously I have tried options such as the Titleist Tour Soft, but was not impressed and amazed, so I just decided to get the top balls from the top 3 makers.The Pro V1x is very good. I felt the TP5x was solid, but offered no advantage.The Callaway Chrome Soft is a different ball game, in my mind a fundamental step forward. Try it.

I didn't think it possible to improve on the last version, however, this ball is definitely a "new" version! Extremely soft feel...launches higher with driver and fairway woods(metals) off the tee...excellent spin off wedges and short irons into the green...very soft feel and spin on chips and short pitches...excellent feel off the putter...Top of the line premium ball

Caveat: I am not a particularly good golfer - usually in the 48-53 range on 9.These feel like you're hitting a rock and despite the name, are not at all soft based on my experience. I am sure they are a good ball and don't feel as hard if you are a better golfer hitting the ball more cleanly than I do. However, for the sub-par golfer such as myself, these are very hard to use and my hands literally hurt by the end of a round with these.I would not recommend these to an average or worse golfer.

I started off with the callaway “super soft”, then tried the hex tour, the titelist pro V1 and now the Callaway chrome soft. The chrome soft has been my favorite ball so far! Cheaper than the pro v1 but seems to fly farther and straighter, great green control and has a soft feel. My only wish would be that they came in matte red.

I went through these so fast, it was hilarious. OB doesn't get any smaller...

My handicap has improved since using the Chrome soft balls. Not sure I can attribute all of the improvement to these balls buy they certainly didn't hurt. I do believe the softer exterior layer improves spin reactions on the greens and I am driving a bit farther as well. I'm buying a new pack today.

I love this ball. It has a great feel off all clubs,especially the irons! I seem to get better distance than almost any ball I've used. I think it's just as good as ProV1 , if not better. And it's cheaper

I am a senior and these balls are great and easy to see . Delivery was late because of the major fires we have here in Northern California but Amazon kept me up to date and offered me to cancel if I wanted. +++++
