Does not actually meassure the water hardness
This device does not actually meassure the water hardness. Instead it meassures dissolved solids and conductivity, meaning untreated and softened water produce the same/similar readings.

I do not recommend this. The readings are incorrect on the one that I received. Different water sources all tested the same. 💧

Totally useless junk
It’s barely worth even commenting on this rubbish, but on the face of it, you think that it looks okay. It’s in a nice plastic case, comes with batteries installed, so hopefully it will be okay – WRONGI tested with water straight from tap (softened), the reading for impurity was way up in the red. I knew this couldn’t be right. The next test was from our Brita water filtered jug, which I knew beyond any doubt was fine. The resultant reading just about the same, or marginally lower. A follow on test again, was a bit higher, matching the unfiltered test.Conclusion? Total garbage. Straight in the bin. DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THIS!!!I hope that you have found this helpful.
