Awesome
These meters are insanely useful for your radon situation and CO2. Lots of dynamic readout, just hop on your phone and enable bluetooth.

Good device to have on hand
You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that having a dosimeter is a good thing to have especially in this nuclear age. Well, it’s not like a Geiger counter. It does alert you to the presence of dangerous radiation levels. it’s not as precise as you would expect in a dosimeter. you have to download an app which is dependent on being online so that’s a minus star. One of the positive things is it doesn’t take up a lot of space on your desk. fairly easy to use and functions for the most part as it should. Your ability is questionable for now it’s a good value for the money..

24/7 radiation monitoring
As a geek, I have many Geiger counters from professional to small pocket size. The only problem is they stay turned off. If you leave batteries, the batteries can leak and do a lot of damage, corrosion I the battery compartment. So I store with out batteries. This unit is accurate. I have it wall mounted. I can pick up my iPhone any time to get a reading. It graphs out everything and stores on phone. There will be an alert if the nuclear power plant south of my city leaks or WW3 starts. I am not in fear, just a geek. Back to H.P. Lovecraft now.

Excellent gadget for daily life
The product matches the description,And works out of the box without any needed configuration, the connexion with the application is straightforward

Gimmicky
"Quickest"/shortest read increment is 1 minute, so if you were expecting this to "catch" anything short lived, that source has to last longer than one minute, or be active during the read cycle.

Nice peace of mind if you are curious about ionizing radiation in your environment
We have gained a lot of insight into our indoor environment's air quality thanks to our SAF Aranet4 unit, so when I saw SAF had created an Aranet Radiation Detector model in the same familiar (and compact) footprint we were further intrigued about what it could tell us about the background radiation in our area, the background radiation in areas we travelled in, and even the background radiation in our home where there's the possibility that it could be present in small amounts due to the local geology. When this unit arrived, I installed the included batteries according to the label (pay attention to the alignment as both go in the same direction!), and the unit went to work taking readings and doing its internal setup and stabilization steps. Once all of the self-setup was complete the display indication changed accordingly, and normal operation continued uninterrupted. The app was easy to use, since I already had experience with it from my Aranet4 device, and adding this unit to my profile in the app was very easy. Of note, the buzzer/beeper described in the manual for the unit and the beeper described in the app settings are two different functions and are not interconnected. Out of the box, the default setting for the Radiation Detector is for it to make a little chirp when its detected level changes. Some folks might want this, or be able to ignore it, but for me it got to be a little much. Once I realized the app setting had no control over the device beep, I re-read the instructions to review the description of which of the DIP switches set which option. Once I knew which one I need to flip, I turned the unit over, opened the battery compartment, removed the top battery, and used the tip of a sewing needle to flip the little switch to the non-beeping side. I then replaced the battery and put the battery compartment cover back on, and the unit didn't miss a beat. And, most importantly, the little beeps stopped. If I take it out on a hike or somewhere that I'd want to have the higher level of awareness, it will be easy enough to flip that switch back to the beeping side. I appreciate how easy Aranet made it to control that behavior! Of note though, do NOT make any of those changes once the initial startup procedure has begun as you have to remove a battery to get to the switches and that would interrupt the process. Wait until the front display indicator turns off and you can see that the unit is in normal operation only. After a couple weeks of operation, I now have a good history of background radiation in my home, and I can see the trend of high and low levels daily. It will be interesting to see if there are any different trends seasonally or if what I'm seeing so far is a true baseline. Information like this helps me understand and respond to my environment so that I can take actions in pursuit of better health for myself and everyone in my home. This Aranet radiation detector from SAF represents a big leap in terms of reliability and miniaturization for such detectors and makes portability far easier than previous generations of handhelds. I love it!
