Another fantastic contribution to the Schema Therapy field !
I had the privilege of doing a group schema therapy training with Joan and Ida. This book is a wonderful complement of that training. In a clear, thorough and practical way the authors help psychotherapists to become competent to apply group and individual schema therapy strategies . Congratulations for another great contribution to our field!

A go to for all practicing Schema therapists.
As is her style, Joan presents this guide book in clear concise anduser-friendly format. It's already 'rescued me (and my clients) a number of times. The kindle version saves it from the frequent dipping in and repeated revisits.Thank you for your great work.

The book is very detailed and helpful to work with patients. I just wish that there was an online ability to download specific worksheets instead of xeroxing them from the book.

Best one-stop-shop manual on individual and group schema-therapy
A highly informative and insightful resource that offers mental health professionals a comprehensive understanding of schema therapy. Written with clarity and expertise, the book delves into the complexities of schemas and their impact on emotions and behavior, while providing evidence-based interventions to address these deeply rooted patterns. One of the book's greatest strengths is its practical approach. The authors skillfully blend theory with real-life case studies, allowing readers to witness the application of schema therapy in diverse clinical settings. This integration not only reinforces theoretical concepts but also equips clinicians with the tools to adapt their approach to individual and group work. The guide also excels in emphasizing the significance of the therapeutic relationship and self-care. By recognizing the role of the therapist-client bond in the healing process, the book encourages a more empathetic and compassionate practice.Additionally, the inclusion of practical exercises, worksheets, and recommended readings enhance the book's usefulness, facilitating the implementation of schema therapy techniques in real-world settings."The Schema Therapy Clinician's Guide" is an invaluable asset for mental health practitioners seeking to deepen their understanding of schema therapy. With its blend of theory, case studies, and practical resources, the book empowers clinicians to provide more effective and transformative therapeutic care to their clients.
