Worked for door latch
My husband used these to keep a door in place since we only needed one to be open most of the time. These attached to the door vertically at the top and bottom going into the floor and door frame. We’ve had them for several months now and work great.

Just want to inform the buyers that are being mislead by the other reviewer
There is a claim made that this is aluminum because it is not magnetic... not sure how you can hold something that is 304 stainless and think it's aluminum, but hey... I guess those people exist.304 stainless is not Magnetic.A steel material not being Magnetic does not make it aluminum...

Look at the screws. You might as well not put this on. Otherwise, you need to purchase higher quality (longer) screws.

No Steel
The product looks good and fits well, however, there’s no steel in this product. A magnet will not cling to it. The product appears to be aluminum. Although it will work as designed, I believe the product description misleads consumers and provides an unfair advantage over similar products.
