What a fantastic little brush for applying foundation. It's easy to apply thin layers of foundation over my skin to cover the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks. So much better than a sponge or other type of brush. Using this brush to apply thin thin layers means much better coverage, efficient and leaves my skin natural looking. I wear sunscreen daily, and using a sponge is not an option as it's damp and blotting it allover my face means I'm likely moving my layer of sunscreen around. Other brushes also tends to apply less evenly so it requires more buffing. Again disturbing the sunscreen.With this brush, I can apply a layer gently, if I accidentally apply too much there are streak lines, but I can also use the brush to gently blot away the streaks, much like a sponge. As I can go over the areas I need more coverage lightly, there isn't a ton of product on my skin leaving it looking more even yet natural. So for me, I start on my cheeks, then I'll work on my nose creases and chin, then go back to my cheek, then work on my forehead and go back to the darker spots again. If my spots look especially dark bc of inflammation or sun exposure, I would add a color corrector first, but luckily that isn't always an issue.I purchased the black and silver duo, I'm using the black one for foundation, and I'm thinking of carrying the silver one for reapplying sunscreen on very long days outdoors. That I will have to update later. But the price for the 2 pcs was an amazing value and worth adding to your brush kit.

This brush is so good! It gives my foundation a smooth, flawless finish without soaking up a ton of product. The bristles are soft but firm enough to really blend everything in nicely. It feels super high quality and doesn’t shed at all. Definitely a go-to in my makeup routine now. If you want that airbrushed look, this brush gets it done!

A mua on social media recommended a spatula brush for foundation. She claimed it would help prevent cakeyness and minimize pores and texture. I tried it thinking it would never help my huge pores. I was shocked at the results. I tried it on moisturized skin without primer. It left a smooth finish without a trace of cakey or crusty. The picture (unfiltered, no powder) doesn't do it justice. I even used it to blend in some cream blush. Perfect finish. Before I could never keep any foundation from settling in pores or wrinkles and I've tried every brush, sponge, and fingers. The only thing is I would like a firmer brush. This one is a bit too soft.

Great for shellacking your face. It evenly spreads- there’s no way to cake the foundation bc it’s a thin brush. KISS the thick layered look away-Nicely spread foundation on your face with this brush. If you’re in your late 30’s and 40’s you know those big fluffy brushes are caking your makeup in your creases and up close your foundation doesn’t look good. It’s soft, the bristles have stayed in place- it’s a great quality brush. You’re aging fave needs this.

Maybe i just don’t understand how to use this brush. But it’s a no for me. It doesn’t help the makeup adhere to the skin at all. It’s almost like a putty knife but smaller.

I usually pick fluffy brushes for makeup, but my current foundation is so creamy that a fluffy brush just will not work. Enter this thin but dense brush with short bristles which perfectly meet my needs. The handle is long enough for easy application. The bristles are also cleaning up nicely without shedding. And I didn’t pay a huge amount. All in all, this brush is perfect for right now.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:The bristles are too short and not enough of them.

I love this brush. I have tried a lot of products to put my foundation on and most of them just suck up all of the product. This leaves all the foundation on your face and spreads it out evenly. I wish I knew about it sooner.
