Not SPAL's best fan
Right out of the box I recognized the SPAL quality. I bought a few of these for a special project for cooling a custom vehicle. Purchased on size and airflow alone, I was convinced that this was the way to go. I was wrong. Very loud and I'm betting the airflow is nowhere near the advertised 437CFM. The motor takes up half the fan face - there is a very noticeable dead spot in the airflow right there. The rest of the flow is not linear at all - it wants to "spin" off to the sides.. not the best thing for cooling, unless you have this fan in a circular housing to direct the air. Otherwise, the air will just be turbulent and go nowhere.
