Smooth, Rich, and Truly Swiss – A Delicious Daily Brew
I’m always on the hunt for a great cup of coffee, and La Semeuse's Mocca Surfin really surprised me in the best way. This is a medium roast ground coffee made from 100% Arabica beans, and you can absolutely tell the quality is there from the very first sip. The aroma when you open the bag is deep and inviting—warm, slightly nutty, with a hint of cocoa—and it carries beautifully through the brew. The flavor is smooth and well-balanced, with no bitterness or sour edge. It’s bold enough to satisfy a morning caffeine craving but still gentle enough to sip slowly and savor. I’ve tried it both in a French press and a drip machine, and it brewed perfectly in both. Clean, rich, with a nice body and lingering finish that makes you want to go back for another cup.I also love that it’s made in Switzerland. You can tell there’s pride and precision in how this coffee is produced. The packaging is simple but secure, keeping the grounds fresh, and the 500g size is generous without being overwhelming. If you're looking for a refined everyday coffee that doesn't feel basic, this is a fantastic choice. I'm definitely going to keep it stocked in my kitchen—it’s a comforting, high-quality roast that consistently brews a very good cup of coffee.

It's good, but pricey...
I brew this on a "rich" setting, which provides are more smaller concentrated cup. To be honest, it tastes like the average medium roast, maybe a little bolder. It gets the job done though. I just can't fathom the cost vs cup.Is it worth the price? That's for you to decide, but I could choose a different brand and wouldn't miss it.

Strong Chocolatey Cup without Burnt Taste
I brewed this coffee in a French press, as I only wanted a few cups for myself. I added about 2.5 tablespoons and whew! It was strong. It's a very fine grind and I think I actually could have used less to still make quite a strong brew. I can taste chocolatey notes throughout. I was also pleased for as strong a cup as I made, there was not a harsh bitterness or harsh burnt flavor. I would call it a complementary level of bitterness. I drank it black, as I prefer coffee, so I added no milks, creams, or sugars. If you're a dark coffee drinker, this one is a very dark roast and really enjoyable. I actually slightly watered my second cup down a bit to see what would happen (in case I had used too much) and the lightened flavor was still very good and likely in line with more of what a regular coffee drinker would want. It was smoother and less intense. Experiment with this one, for sure. I'd be happy with either cup, but this coffee's versatility to meet the tastes of multiple coffee drinkers may be its winning feature.

Very dark robust coffee
When I opened the bag I didn't just smell coffee, I smelled a whole coffee experience and it was wonderful. Normally I use my small, barely 8oz, cafetiere/French press for "the good coffee" but my grinder doesn't make as fine a grind as this so I used a pour-over paper filter to avoid getting a cup of silt along with my coffee. Wowzers, this is some strong, dark coffee right here. I waited for the little bit of a bitter bite that I usually get after my first sip of dark coffee but it never came. This coffee tastes very smooth. I drank that first cup black, as I always do with "the good coffee" but I'm going to brew my next one a little stronger and use a lemon rind twist the way I take espresso. Seriously good coffee.

Delicious
This coffee is great! I am drinking it as I type this. I usually get Lavazza brand, and this coffee is just as good if not better. It is convenient that it is pre-ground if I am trying to make coffee more quietly. The grind size is very uniform, and the size is good for espresso. The powder is very dry, so I do have to pack it a little harder into my portafilter. Overall, this coffee is really tasty and worth giving a try.

Good coffee
This is good coffee. That's my opinion and that is what I was told when I made a part of this the other day for a guest. I usually grind my own beans but sometimes I get lazy and it's nice to have ground coffee around. This is a pretty fine grind in my opinion and so I found that when I'm making a pot that calls for 10 teaspoons with this I can use scant teaspoons or maybe get away with nine or nine and a half. We are enjoying the flavor. It does appear to be a medium roast but it has a bold flavor which is our preference. The expiration date on the bag is 8:26-2025 and so not a lot of time to use it up but coffee never lasts long around here anyway.

Great pre-ground coffee
I’ve got nothing bad to say about this coffee. It’s really very good. It comes pre ground very finely though, but that is something that different people have different preferences on.It’s got a nice and strong flavor, but not too strong. Definitely a medium roast that really hits the mark for that.I prepared mine in a French press. I took 12g of grounds, and 450g of water and let it steep for 4 minutes before I press. It comes out very nicely!
