It slices it dices
I’ve had my sword for a year now. I live in the woods and use it as a heavy machete. It cuts through white pine like you’re making salad. I’ve chopped plenty of oak, and the only blade damage is a tiny nick from hitting a granite rock under a branch I chopped. I sharpened the blade and it’s good as new again. A lot more fun than using a regular machete.

Beast for the price
Strong, durable, thick, heavy blade. Will chop, cut, right of the package, my drunk buddy stupidly cut himself on it right away. This is a real sword. The handle wrapping is not great, and the fittings are not good either, from the saya to the tsuba. However, I have chopped weeds and hit a few branches with it, and it was perfectly fine afterwards. Good as new. Simply wiped it down with mineral oil. A fun item to use that way. However, it is heavier than most katanas, and has no taper other than at the tip. No bohi, no anything to make the blade lighter. It will wear you out swinging it around more than a normal katana, and is not as easy to swiftly move around, but it isn't too heavy to be fun and functional. For the price, you are getting what is essentially a basic, katana-like sword with spring steel durability. Good buy. If you want a beater sword if you're scared to mess up your more expensive or fancier swords, this is a great option.
