Best purchase I have made this year-- can now walk the dog without getting eaten up by mosquitos
This is one of the best purchases I have made this year. This jacket works great. I struggled with what size to order... I ordered the large (worrying that I may need an extra large), but the large is very generous, and fits very loosely, with plenty of room to spare, including the sleeve length. A garment of this type needs to fit loosely, and the Large I ordered does just that. I am 5'9 (male) and 190 pounds with a 44 chest size. It is very easy to put on and take off. The mesh is tight enough to keep even the smallest insects out, but does let air pass through -- I am still able to feel breezes (when there is a rare breeze to feel). I have been using this garment two to three times a day, every day since I received it, and it is holding up just fine. I live in the country and walk my large dog at least three times a day around our property. At night, I like to wear a 600 lumen headlight which frees up my hands for managing my large dog. By the time we are a quarter mile into our walk, I have a swarm of insects buzzing around my head that are attracted to the 600 lumen light. That was driving me nuts but this garment has solved that problem. The insects are still attracted to the light and swarm around me, but they cannot get to me, and they no longer are an irritant. This garment also solves the problem of walking face-first into spider webs, which also drove me nuts. With this garment, I may still accidentally walk into a spider web, but the garment protects me and the web does not get on me. This garment also keeps the mosquitos from being able to bite me, which is wonderful, especially since the mosquito-borne Zika virus as well as West Nile virus are both present where I live. The garment is extremely light weight, and folds up very compactly. You can stuff it into a large pocket (like a cargo pocket on cargo pants) if need be. I have machine laundered it (placing it inside a "delicates" protecting mesh bag) with out any problem or damage to the garment. You don't have to wear this with a hat, but wearing a hat with a brim makes it more effective since he mesh will drape further out from your face and neck. At night, I put on a boonie hat, then put on the Bug Jacket, then secure my headlight elastic straps on top of that -- it works great for me.

Great product!
My husband and I love to hike in the warmer months of the year. We live in the northeast, so that means from about May to October. The spring and the fall are the best, because it's still cool and there's hardly any bugs out yet, but when summer hits, there's just such an urge to get out there into the woods. Unfortunately, we literally live in a swamp, and that means bugs. Lots of bugs. I can handle mosquitoes. We found a cool bug spray that's made with natural ingredients (no deet or other insecticides) that really works to keep away mosquitoes. The real problem are gnats and flys. Deer flies are the worst for aggressively trying to land on you! And don't get me started on how annoying clouds of tiny gnats are. No spray known to man can keep those little beasts from attacking your eyes and ears. So to help us to get out into the woods more, I bought two of these for me and my husband. He's tall and skinny and I'm short and stout, so I got us both large jackets. They are indeed large. They're not like t-shirt sized; they're maybe a size or two larger than a t-shirt would be, but that's good, because they don't have much stretch and you want some space between the netting and your skin anyway. We tried these once in heavily mosquito infested woods the first time. They worked ok, but in a couple places where the netting touched the skin, we got a few mosquito bites. My husband's uncovered hands, however, had a lot more bites. Fortunately for me, the sleeves are so long, I can actually get my hands in there too and just close the sleeve shut. After that incident, we bought a bottle of Permetherin and coated the jackets with it. I don't like pesticides at all, but this one is at least stable once it's dry. The jackets worked like a dream after that, and it even cut down on the bites my husband got on his hands. They usually aren't hot to wear; as a matter of fact, for some reason I can't explain, they seem to amplify any breeze you get and makes it feel super nice. However, if you're in 90+ degrees with no wind and you're climbing up a steep hill or otherwise working up a sweat, it will probably start feeling stuffy under the hood and you may need to open it to give yourself some air. I like this so much that I'm thinking about buying the matching bug pants so we can wear shorts in the woods.

Great solution!
I'm an avid gardener with a lot of buggy areas to weed. I'm not able to use DEET on my skin and this bug suit has saved the day! No mosquitos, no see ums or ticks got through. Plenty of headroom for a wide brimmed hat. Front of neck has a double zipper so you can work with your head out or get a drink. I'm a size ladies size 12-14 and got the Large. It is very baggy, but you wouldn't want it to sit close to your skin for both comfort and effectiveness. The ONLY down side is that it can feel hot when the weather is muggy. If you are working in the shade with a nice breeze, this is the way to go. I was pretty comfortable in leggings and a t-shirt in 83F breezy weather. And I got so much more done in a shorter amount of time because I wasn't afraid to get down in there and really weed out the buggy areas! Get the pants too!

Very effective but control
I have a very bad allergic reaction to No-Seeum bites and because they are so bad in my area, I had to find a solution. Before purchasing this bug jacket, I could step out side & be bitten multiple times within a minute. Since having this jacket, I have not been bitten a single time! It has provided me with 100% protection from No-Seeum or Mosquito bites. The jacket has a built in hood so my head, face and neck are protected as well. The sleeves have a bungee type elastic at the wrists, so biting insects cannot get in. Thank you for this very effective, insect protective product.

I bought these in various sizes for my whole family. We are deep into black fly season at the moment and being outside is unbearable. Each person came in from outside with these shirts on saying 👍👍 and 5 ⭐️. They were able to spend several hours mowing lawns, cleaning cars, weeding gardens, washing windows with no bites! Fabulous product!

This is for anyone who has ever been considered “prime rib” in the eyes of a mosquito. I know I have! And I’m mildly allergic to them, so walking through Gatineau park, deep in the woods, the mosquitoes, nor the black flies could have a sample of me.. I got one in an extra large size so it fits over me like a skirt. A little drawstrings around the rest and bottom are a great idea to keep the bugs from creeping in. There is a zipper from the left side to the right side of the neck, easily accessible in case you need to take a drink of water or blow your nose. The material is pretty decent and more resilient than I thought. It does get hot though – the mesh is thin for a reason / keep out bugs! But I would rather be sweating in a mesh jacket than being swarmed by mosquitoes who want me for dinner.
