Renue’s Spermidine producing real autophagy results!
I felt a definite rise in my energy and concentration levels after using Renue’s Spermidine for about 2 months! I’m definitely going to continue using it!

Expensive spermidine supplement in liposomal format
Spermidine [SPD] is a natural polyamine derived from food uptake, production by intestinal microbiota, and cellular biosynthesis. Its presence varies among the species, cell types and tissues, as well as among foods of animal, fungi, or plant origin. Studies have shown that its cellular biosynthesis decreases with age in humans and animal models, and this might be a reflection of loss of microbial diversity in the gut. SPD is reported to play an important role in the regulation of nucleic acid, promoting cell growth, and inducing autophagy (that is, the natural degradation and recycling process of cells in multicellular organisms to remove unnecessary or dysfunctional cell components). It is claimed to provide multiple health benefits, but rather limited data are available on its supplementation benefits. A Japanese study, submitted in 2008 and published in 2009, was the first to report that SPD increases healthy lifespans in mice. An Austrian study, submitted and published in 2009, extended the finding to yeast, flies, worms, and in-vitro human cells -- an Austrian company formed around the latter study to commercialize its findings has been promoting the European trend of SPD as a dietary supplement since the mid 2010s, though much of the product nowadays comes from China. [1] Source. This is a private-label, encapsulated SPD extract (likely not from wheat germ as no zinc or vitamin B1 are listed as other ingredients) prepared in a liposomal format by an undisclosed foreign custom manufacturer. It is sourced by Renue by Science Inc, a CA online marketer with a virtual address (digital marketing agency) in FL, and sold here under its trademark. The long air pockets formed when the label was glued to the container I got (see arrows in my attached image) are not a reassurance of the quality of its manufacturer's operation. [2] Dosage. Each capsule contains 4 mg of SPD trihydrochloride. Safe dose amounts and limits have not yet been determined. At this time, only 5 pilot clinical trials in Germany or Austria have been completed and published, using dosages between 0.9 and 15 mg/day, which correspond to ~10% and ~170% respectively of the average SPD daily food intake in developed countries. In 2018, moderate memory improvement was reported in adults at risk for dementia taking 1.2 mg/day over 3 months. In 2021, another intervention trial in adults with moderate or mild dementia reported cognitive improvement with 3.3 mg/day of SPD over 3 months, but not with 1.9 mg/day. Then, in 2022, those authors of the 2018 work reported that reducing the SPD dosage to 0.9 mg/day did not show an effect after 12 months -- this reduction was selected to be below the SPD levels causing adverse effects in mice, and to placate concerns about the association of elevated polyamine levels and cancer (see Risks below). Finally, in 2023, a pharmacokinetics trial reported that 15 mg/day over 5 days increased spermine levels in plasma in a few healthy subjects, while those of SPD itself or putrescine were not affected. Obviously, more work is needed to determine proper dosage. Until then, though, the initial interventional results suggest that just ONE capsule (4 mg) of this brand per day should be sufficient to reach putatively effective blood levels with less potential risks than doubling the serving size (as proposed by the seller). [3] Risks. A significant (p=0.016) decrease of vitamin B12 concentration was found at the completion of the 2021 trial in the 3.3 mg/day group, but not the 1.9 mg/day group, suggesting that a medium dose of SPD induces a vitamin B12 decrease. Vitamins were not measured in the other trials, so such a result needs to be replicated. Further, it is a conflicting finding since B12-deficiency decreases SPD biosynthesis in rats and worms, as well as the lifespan of the latter. Just in case, consider taking SPD with a B12 supplement. Also of concern for the long-term user is the association of cancer with polyamines. They are essential for cell proliferation, and are found in high amounts in actively multiplying cancer cells. Recently, the reduction of polyamines levels by inhibiting their synthesis was found to be effective in some cancers. The association was important enough to reduce the SPD dosage in the cited 2022 trial. On the other hand, there are recent reports that SPD enhances antitumor responses (via its T-cell benefits) to immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy. Once more, there are conflicting findings on SPD positive vs. negative effects. [4] Cost. At the time of writing, this is the only 90-capsule, liposomal SPD brand on Amazon and, at $0.56 per count, it is rather more expensive than the other five liposomal-SPD brands also available here, even when their 60-capsule packs --typically more expensive than higher packs-- are considered ($0.33 to $0.37 per count). Naturally, non-liposomal SPD is even less expensive and more than likely to yield similar results. Be aware that there are no scientific reports of needing liposomal formulations for SPD bioavailability -- in fact, research in the mid-1990s already found that 87% to 96% of intragastrically-fed SPD to rats is available for uptake. --

Use for anti-aging
I recently discovered spermidine as a new supplement. After doing some research, I found out that it can support cell growth and autophagy, as well as have anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties. One thing I appreciate about this spermidine is that it's vegan and free of preservatives. Plus, the pills are easy to swallow. I plan on taking them for a while to see if I notice any positive effects. Each bottle comes with a 45-day supply, which is pretty good. However, I did have to dock a star for the high price of this supplement.

Seems to be a good spermidine supplement
I took this spermidine supplement every day for 90 days (at half the recommended dose of one capsule) and I've suffered no detectable ill effects or issues. As far as detectable positive effects, I can't say that I've noticed anything, but supplements like this are more for long term health. I think the price is quite high for an 8mg spermidine supplement.

Liposomal Spermidine for hopefully better absorption
Overall Rating: 5 stars (excellent) - I’m an Intermittent Faster and also take Spermidine to assist with Autophagy. Renue by Science Spermidine yields 8mg per serving. I try to consume at least 5mg, so this is an appropriate amount for me. It’s liposomal (encapsulated in fat), so it should better survive the stomach and be absorbed in the intestines Individual Ratings: INGREDIENTS: excellent - Just Spermidine and the capsule-related ingredients QUALITY: excellent - Made in the USA using global ingredients. Stated GMP certified and 3rd party tested USAGE: above average - Two capsules per day yields 8mg Spermidine and a 60 day supply. No shelf life listed Note: Supplements are regulated like foods by the FDA, and claims regarding efficacy often aren't backed by science. So I don't review supplements based on those claims, and instead rate them based primarily on ingredients and quality. Prices can fluctuate so I leave it to the reader to decide value for themselves.

I can't see a difference
I got these to help with hair loss. Having gone through almost the whole bottle, I don't see any results. Perhaps, if I used this product for months, I may. However, perhaps not. My skin is now incredibly soft, but that was well before every taking this supplement. I haven't noticed any improvement with my skin either. I don't see any negative changes, so I don't have any negative emotions related to these. I just don't see a benefit. I won't be continuing with a new bottle.

Renue did it again - great product
Alright for starters it looked like the printer they used for the label was running a little low on colored ink. Other then that; perfect. LIPO is the way to go for a lot of things that'll burn up in stomach acid and the digestive tract. I've used a few different LIPO variants in my stack for this reason. The manufacturing/expiration date was good so this was fresh stock when I got shipped it to.
